Lifeguard and each staff were very good. I did not like being charged for pool toys and small amenities. Waiting for the buggy was at times very frustrating. It’s a big resort. Although the breakfast was very good the first few days it got very repetitive if you’re there for a long time.

Amazing stay, staff where friendly and attentive to our needs. The resort was lovely along with the beach. Definitely need to hire mopeds if you want to explore island or venture out from the resort.

Stay at movenpick waa great. No hassles. Chef was friendly to cook vegetarian options in morning breakfast on whim's notice . Resort is really well placed, ambience is superb. Private beach that reaort has , is one of the best beach i have been to. Kid Zone is really well built with options of play from2 years to12 years. Lot of art and craft classes organised at kid zone which you can opt in for. High Tea Provided by resort is really nice.

Great staff, but overall not a pleasant stay

First of all, staff is very kind and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. Room was also nice. However.. The overall experience wasn’t good. Traveling as a couple I would not recommend - it reminds me too much of a mediocre all inclusive resort. If you have kids then maybe. Breakfast is a battlefield. Kids all over, people coughing on the food, guests taking things by hand instead of using the food tong etc. The vibe is just awful and not at all relaxing. If you want good vibes, relaxing surroundings and a bit of luxury feel to your stay, this is NOT the place to go.

Everything was excellent except for the delay in the airport transfer shuttle. We were in the shuttle bus for 15 minutes before leaving the airport as the driver keep waiting for other guests which are late. (Lack of punctuality) Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful.

I like the property especially the villas. The villa is spacious and larger than expected. Many staffs including the receptionist don’t know English that well and it seemed to me that they were not that experienced or knowledgeable of the hotel status. We were recommended by a receptionist to have dinner at a restaurant at the hotel. But, when we get there, the restaurant was dark and empty because it was closed for renovation for 3 months. There are space for improvement for the staffs at the reception or concierge. Most staffs seems to work under pressure and there are no smile in their faces most of the time.

I was booking a room at Movenpick for 2 nights from 8/29/22 to 8/30/2022. When I booked, I paid for front Ocean views but when I was checked in, they gave me a resident suites on the property and beside the the room had a lots of bugs inside the room. I got a lot of bugs bites. DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE BOOKING ON THIS PROPERTY IF YOU PLAN TO VISIT PHU QUOC. IT WILL RUINED UR VACATION. BOOKED FOR FRONT OCEAN VIEWS BUT END UP WITH RESIDENTIAL SUITES ROOM HAD TO PAID EXTRA MONEY TO UPGRADE ROOM.

Our stay at Phu Quoc Movenpick Villas and Residences was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The villas were luxurious and impeccably maintained, providing us with the perfect sanctuary during our holiday. A highlight of our experience was the exceptional service provided by Mr. Kai and the entire staff. Mr. Kai went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was memorable. His attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and willingness to assist with any request truly made our time at the resort unforgettable. The entire team at Phu Quoc Movenpick Villas and Residences exemplified hospitality at its finest. From the friendly greetings by the pool to the impeccable housekeeping service, every interaction with the staff was met with kindness and professionalism. We are immensely grateful to Mr. Kai and the entire staff for their dedication and commitment to providing exceptional service. It’s a beauty property. The residences are set back from the ocean and overlook a lagoon and villas toward the ocean and the amenities (restaurant, beach, spa) are located over at the Waverly property which is an easy 2 minute walk or 1 min golf cart ride. The residences are more quiet whereas the Waverly is more of a resort feel. Like any resort, prices for food are inflated and You are a bit isolated from pretty much anything, necessitating a taxi or Grab to go anywhere. Not unusual or unexpected. The beach is beautiful and mostly clean but we noticed a lot of trash cohorted at the base of the trees hanging closest to the ocean. To be fair, the island has a major trash problem and it’s really sad. Surely us tourists are adding to the problem. Our room smelled a bit like mothballs at first but that went away.

Amazing pool and restaurants! The spa services were excellent as well. The only downside was the front desk staff — when we reported a leak that soaked our suitcase, they initially didn’t offer any assistance to resolve the issue. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

We spent 8 nights in a villa with a private pool at Mövenpick Resort Phu Quoc, but were overall disappointed. Despite the nice appearance of the property, the service and comfort were not up to 5-star standards. We were asked to sign papers making us responsible for cleaning the villa’s kitchen and given an inventory list of every item, with fines for anything missing. This made the stay stressful rather than relaxing. Housekeeping was minimal and the location very isolated. Positives: friendly staff, good buggy service, and a beautiful main pool and garden. However, overall, we would not choose this hotel again.
