Mountain Summit House at Pisgah Forest - Brevard, NC

Enjoy long range views of Mount Pisgah and the entire Pisgah Range (180 degrees year-round) from the western side of a vast wrap-around, 100% covered deck. As well as long range views from the east side and covered salt water hot tub.

This family-owned and cherished 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home is situated on the summit of one of the highest elevations in northeast Pisgah Forest, conveniently located just five minutes from places like Oskar Blues Brewery, The Hub & Pisgah Tavern, Sycamore Cycles and Ecusta Brewing. And only 10 minutes to downtown Brevard, and 25 minutes to downtown Hendersonville,

Ideally Suited for:

- Multi-generation families. Our family vacation home is very popular with families of grandparents and their adult kids and grandchildren of all ages.

- Mom, dad and the kids.

- Two young families. Plenty of privacy for two couples with kids, who will thrive in the great outdoors (manicured lawns for cornhole or opens spaces to run free). And a well-equipped kitchen and Weber grill for cooking large meals.

Post-storm Update:

Our home, road and surrounding area was largely spared by the September 2024 storm (Helene). Our most immediate impact was downed trees, which actually opened up our eastward mountain views. We are thankful that our home suffered no major damage, and that the quaint downtown of Brevard with and all its cool shops and restaurants was virtually unscathed by Helene.

Best house in the area

Our four couples spend a long weekend in the area each year. This house was by far the best! Sleeps 8 nicely, great porch, full kitchen, very good beds, and very clean, Host was great. Will return.

Perfect girls trip

The owner is great communicating everything about the property. The website is wonderful and was able to do a little research on a suggested hike of some smaller waterfalls that aren’t crowded. My first hike, I got to see 3 small waterfalls and only saw I couple along the 5 mile hike. There’s a great tube float place just down the road and everything you could need is a short drive but you really feel secluded and peaceful at the house. Everything we needed was there and it was cozy with beautiful outdoor area. Highly recommend!

Wonderful spot for family vacation

The property is wonderful and views are stunning! Most of our time was spent on the patio. House had everything we needed for our family vacation. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Paul was very communicative and provided tons of local recommendations. No issues with check in or check out.

Beautiful home, easy access to area

Lovely place. Worked out well, two older adults and then younger couple with two children (3 and 5). Sleeping arrangements worked well, room to play and also for privacy if desired. Great hot tub and view, especially in the morning as the fog settled in the valley, were beautiful.

The property was accurately described on the VRBO Website. My Family enjoyed all the property had to offer. Paul was incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to any issue. We cannot wait to go back.

Stellar views and Fun-filled home

Our family had a fantastic time on Enon Mountain. The views are gobstopping and we were spoiled for choice during our down time when we weren’t exploring Pisgah or DuPont. Between ping pong, foosball, darts and board games there was always something to do. The kitchen had all of the essentials and Paul was very communicative. The only reason I’m hesitant to recommend staying here is I want there to be vacancy next time we are in the area!

Beautiful secluded mountain views!

This lovely home is at the top of a private drive, positioned at the top of a small mountain, giving 360 degree mountain views. Absolutely lovely. Dual fireplaces inside plus an outdoor fire pit. Close to Brevard and other local towns, but still a secluded feeling. Just minutes from Pisgah National forest and a ton of activities, awesome location. The home does not have central A/C or central heat but it was plenty comfortable during our stay. Kitchen was really well stocked and host communication was great. I would definitely stay again.

5 Star View. 5 Star Property Owner

Just sitting on the deck and soaking in these views could be a vacation on all its own. The house sits literally at the summit of a small mountain and the 360 degree views are about as good as it gets. The driveway up was actually better than we have experienced than other top of the mountain homes we've rented before. The place is secluded, landscaped to the tee, and everything is neat, clean and in working order. We enjoyed the hot tub, cooking on the deck, and roasting marshmallows on the firepit, but most of all the deck and the views. The property owner Paul was excellent, gave us several recommendations on hikes, and was extremely responsive to any question we had. I highly recommend this rental.

Excellent house, location & host

The Home is as described in the listing. A beautiful home with sweeping views of the mtns. Now, you can plan a trip but not the weather and we had unfortunate timing with Hurricane Helene. The host was very responsive and prompt on any issues or questions that arose. And he went above & beyond making sure we were ok and helping us out when the area was hit hard by the storm. I highly recommend this home & host!

This is a gorgeous house with amazing mountain views. Excellent host and good communication throughout the process. Our family/kids loved this house. Plenty of room, great set up and a world-class porch/deck to enjoy the mountains and sunsets. Easy access to Pisgah and Brevard. We will definitely rent again from this host.

Incredible Property!

I rented the house for a get together with family members and the property exceeded our expectations. Everything you see in the pictures is better in person. The views are stunning, the house is cozy, the amenities are nice, and it’s very private. Check in and out was easy because Paul is a top tier host. Everyone enjoyed it.
