Black Forest Cabins

Black Forest Cabins

8/10 Good
"Beautiful and clean room. Great location. Enormously comfortable bed! I truly loved the space. There were just a few things that prevented me from giving a full 5-stars. The shower ran out of hot water. The passageway to the doors of each cabin are elevated like a boardwalk, which looks very quaint but is a bit problematic because you either have to walk around the long way to get to your vehicle, or step off of the boardwalk, which is about a 4-foot drop (for my cabin, anyway), making it a little difficult to step on/off. If they were to install a small step beside the boardwalk, it would make a huge difference. Privacy is also a bit difficult. The cabins are very close to each other. The wifi info is in a link, which was a little problematic and took a long time to load due to my phone's poor signal. But it's all in all, a great stay."

"My husband and I stayed at the Fairmount B&B for 1 night in Srptember and had a lovely stay. The owners were friendly, breakfast was home cooked and we shared a table with 4 other guests and had a great time chatting to one another over our breakfast. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable."

"This place was super friendly, with a very helpful staff. A converted building that is well maintained and lots of amenities. All decks faced the bay and had comfy outside furniture, with a wonderful view of docks, boats and lovely homes. The restraurant had excellent foods, with happy helpful staff."

"I was an Expedia VIP customer for the first time. Serge greeted me and assisted with getting me a welcome treat. Soft towels, jetted tub. Pleanty of hot water. Quiet room. Plenty of lighting. Large lot to park in. The only con is there is no level parking for motorcycles. Something they could improve on another otherwise amazing place."

Private Island, Ocean Front, Aspotogan Peninsula, South Shore Nova Scotia

10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely amazing views!! We were in love as soon as we looked out the back door! This is the place to get groceries and plan to just relax! There are 1-3 seals that like to hang out in the cove when low tide starts, and a good variety of birds to watch. We saw 2 deer as well. When the weather cooperates, the stars put on quite a show. Phil is a good communicator and really goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. The house is very well stocked with the essential kitchen items. A few things to note. You are about 20 minutes from any restaurants and they close earlier than we were expecting. Same thing with the grocery stores so get everything you need before you head down to the Island and you will have a great experience."
