"Lovely family run hotel. We enjoyed the food which was freshly made and locally sourced (most of the ingredients home grown!) The pool area was really nice and very quiet, even in peak season, and the small beach which was a short walk away was perfect. Car hire from the hotel was a really plus too. Would definitely recommend to people wanting a quieter stay in Zakynthos. "

"This place was above and beyond my expectations. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking. The location is perfect for someone who wants a peaceful stay by the sea. The hosts Angelo and Angela are incredible. I called Angela my fairy godmother, there was absolutely nothing she couldn’t fix or help with. Unfortunately with our mistake we didn’t know this villa is very remote, nothing is nearby so we had to move out after one night. Be sure to have a car if you want to stay here as no taxis will come, no food delivery etc. would definitely stay here again with a better plan and car!"

"Hotel Contessina is brilliant. An oasis of a hotel in what is a bustling resort town. Once inside the doors you could be anywhere in the world. The design of the renovated hotel is brilliant. Modern and sophisticated, and the planting is beautifully done. We enjoyed 2 weeks here, using it as a base to discover the island when we had a car for some of the time. The main pool area is lovely, but be warned, all of the pools are 1.4m deep with no shallow / deep ends."
