The Lake House was a fantastic place to stay for a ski weekend in VT. It's perfectly located with just 30 minutes to Killington and 15 minutes to Okemo. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.
We missed seeing the peak of colors but the spectacular view made up for the poor timing! The fog in the morning was our favorite part, besides the ultra comfy living room with wood burning fireplace and unbelievable views when waking up (top bedroom). The house has it all!
such a nice location, incredible views and several balconies to enjoy! each bedroom had its own bathroom which was also incredible. the host was so responsive and helpful with any questions we had and gave us a whole bunch of fun stuff to do around the property including swimming spots, mountain coasters etc. we definitely want to go back!
We stayed for a long ski weekend with a total of 8 adults (4 couples). The house comfortable fit everyone in all settings (living room, dining room, beds). It was great to have the supply of firewood right on the property, as we had plenty of time to enjoy the fireplace. We would definitely return to stay here again.
Well appointed, has more household items than most. Our family getaway consisting of 2 couples and one single adult agreed the furniture was extremely cozy.
Easy drive for a daytrip to Stowe, nearby golf courses were phenomenal. Mother nature did her thing-- gorgeous. Overall a wonderful space to explore and rest.
Great location with an amazing view. Main floor is fabulous for relaxing or entertaining. Kitchen is well appointed. Plenty of bedrooms with ample space and very comfortable beds. Plenty of bathrooms on every floor. Be prepared for lots of stairs but they are all well built, well lit and easy to manage. There are 4 total levels to the house. Main entrance opens to kitchen/great room/dining room and back deck level. One primary suite with full wall of windows/skylights on upper level. Go down one level from main floor to second primary bedroom (with private deck) and one guest room with queen/bunk bed. Lowest level has another guest room, bathroom and den with mini fridge and access to backyard.
I went with a few friends for a ski trip and we had the best time! Upstairs bed was a DREAM, so comfortable and great linens. Fireplace was so cozy after skiing and the couch was perfect for our group to get together. Tons of fun games - we ended up playing multiple rounds of Yahtzee… which was surprising for my group of 28-32 year olds. Would definitely recommend & return!
A bunch of my friends and I went up to do a ski trip on the Killington mountain and we found this amazing lodge near by. It’s only a 15-20 min drive to the mountain. It was such a cozy beautiful place. True cabin vibes and had the prettiest views. This was my first time up in Vermont but it seems like there is so much to do near by. You also feel secluded which is really nice. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to go up there!

Gorgeous View! Lots of Room.
Nice home in the mountains with a stunning view. The home could use some refurbishing, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfy bed. The decks and outdoor furniture were very dirty and we couldn't use them. Pretty great room - we really enjoyed having a fire.
We had a great stay at this property. It was as described and well stocked. Of note you must go thru a bedroom to get to the fourth bedroom/living area and there were no bedrooms on the main level. This was not a problem for us but may pose an issue for others. We loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom making getting ready and easy task! The property was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view.
Pro'sClose to Pico and Killington Mountain for skiing.Close to the town of Woodstock for shopping and restaurants.Ice fishing 10 minutes away.Sledding and Vermont Cheese factory (Plymouth Cheese) at Calvin Coolidge Historic Site.Beautiful view from every room.Plenty of sleeping space.Loved the 4 separate sleeping areas and bathrooms for our extended family. Everyone had their own space.Con'sWinding snow-covered roads to the house up the mountain. Should have a vehicle that can handle this. We needed to engage our 4 wheel drive.Have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the lower level that had a separate living space and bedroom. Housekeeping left laundry in the washer and dryer that we had to finish. (Was hoping my vacation didn't include laundry. Haha)Each room has a propane and an electric heater. Our propane heater wasn't working, and the electric is controlled by the property owner and set at 65 degrees. Owners responded very quickly and remotely increased the electric when the propane didn't work.I list pro's and con's for those trying to plan their stay. I would in a heartbeat book this property again. The views were spectacular, close to winter activities and the property owners were quick to respond and very kind.
