"This is an absolute gem of a rental. This is our second time staying at this property (different owners). Quiet, out in the country, beautiful views, very comfortable housing and well equipped kitchen. The owners Isabelle and Christian live on the property but the gite is private and peaceful. Perfect for 2 couples, 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms upstairs, and a comfortable lounging space and kitchen downstairs. Easy access parking. If stairs are an issue for you, this would not be the perfect choice. 35 minutes from Saint-Emillion. 30 minutes at most from downtown Bordeaux. Highly recommended."

"What a fabulous home! 7 bedrooms for a party of 13 adults – it really was just great, suited us perfectly. Room to be on your own if you want, otherwise lots of communal areas – and the formal dining room was just superb.The younger folks really enjoyed the pool, too.We’d come back again, definitely."

"What a lovely stay we had at Le Metairie! The host Patrick met us on arrival and provided some lovely welcome gifts, including a delicious cake from a local artisan bakery. The accommodation was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and everything we could want to enjoy our fortnight's holiday was provided. Our family especially enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing table tennis and then relaxing in the large sitting room in the evenings. Patrick's Information Folder gave us lots of tips on where to eat and what to visit and we enjoyed learning about winemaking - and sampling some excellent wine - at one of his recommended places. We had a lovely evening meal at Le Cabine and also at the Garden Restaurant in Creon as well as lunch at Auberge D'Haux. It was a perfect house and location for our family holiday - and we were even treated on our last day to a deer visiting the garden! Thank you Patrick!"

"Great place with lovely pool and kitchen. Loads of games like badminton and table tennis, would be good to have a couple of bikes and pool toys though. Location was lovely also with plenty to do or not do as one wished. The owner is super nice and helpful. We actually forgot something and he has posted it back to us!To make this property even better, it would be great to have maybe a more manicured garden but the rustic nature was very in keeping and lovely too."

"My family, friends, and I had the best of times at Marcus' enchanted chateau. The place itself is even nicer and more exciting than the photos, the pool such a phantastic and in the summer heat welcome addition and the surrounding region full of beauty and stories. But the best of all is the gracious and helpful host himself who is doing such an amazing job with the chateau restauration. We felt he had become a friend in the short time we stayed there. Highly recommended."

"Wow. This is a beautiful, truly magnificent, property with stunning views of the Bordeaux countryside. Beautiful days and stunning evenings amongst the Semillon vines are just a few of the amazing features of this property. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful, and nicely laid out this property proved to be. The house is magnificently well decorated with lots of amenities. The host was gracious and communicative. The neighboring vintner/winemaker (Jean-Guy) was a joy to meet. He helped to make a visit a very special one. We will absolutely comeback when we next visit France and plan to stay longer next time. What a treat!. "
