Its an excellent budget hotel, very good food especially Indian food and great service, importantly always serves with a smile , truly a good experience.......
Keep it up.....
Hotel is very clean and comfortable, staff are very friendly and take pride in what there doing. Its a good location 5 mins walk from the main tourist area restaurants and the lake.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Lake Star and will definitely recommend it to others. The food was very good, the room was clean and comfortable, and -- even though the hotel was short-staffed because of the holidays -- the service was absolutely excellent.. The manager even took me to the airport in his own car!
The staff here were just amazing. It was like being on holiday with your friends. They were however professional at all times. Would highly recommend this place

Hotel ok, scenery is great, noise soon finished
The location is a bit off the main shopping area and restaurants. Unfortunately there is a lot of construction going on just next door. This can not be seen when gauging the hotel during booking.
Hence it will always be a guess where you end up. The scenery was beautiful

Need to Improve themselves
Positives: friendly front staff and manager. Needs Improvement: no buffet breakfast even though plenty of guests- should at least put out a big bowl of fresh frits for guests to help themselves, and muesli or oatmeal, all of these being cheap in Phokara. The maid never swept the floor, and dirty sheets on check in. Also, not the hotels fault but worth mentioning for female travelers- the street lights end a block before the hotel and you must walk by construction sites with male workers lurking in the shadows by night.
It's a nice hotel and very neat and clean. One of the nicer looking ones in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel's new so it's in great condition.
The rooms are very clean and it has a hot shower available (you'll need to keep the hot water running for 5 mins for it to heat up).
The only bit of inconvenience is that it's a bit of a walk from the lake. It's not a lot the first time around, but if you're out by the lakeside 5 times a day, it can get tiring. Also, try not to get a room in the 3rd floor or else you'll have to climb three floors up after a long walk to the hotel.
Various tours are available from the hotel itself but they're quite pricey (sometimes double or more) compared to what's available from other tour operators just a few steps outside the hotel.
All false information about the room. No mini bar. No tea/coffee maker. No 24 hrs front desk. Very rude behaviour with us. Since it was season time. They booked the room to some other guest. The room was already paid for in advance. Ultimately the worst experience of my life.
