Glacier National Park at Logan Pass along the Going to the Sun Road heading north after the Big Drift. Logan Pass, at 6,646’ is the highest point, is barely two lanes in the summer– not to mention the 2,000’ drop on the south side of the road. The Big Drift is a site east of Logan Pass where snow depths reach between 40 and 80 feet.The teams started clearing snow on April 1, using excavators to reduce the walls to a manageable level. They then used snowplows to clear the rest. That section of the Park reopened on June 22 and this pic was taken June 23, 2019. #Trovember
Last night’s mind bending sunset at Logan Pass.
Payoff at the end of a long, winding drive on a gravel road. A short walk from the parking lot. Peaceful and majestic.
