We just needed a safe, clean and useful place to sleep for the night. After walking at the beach, a place to shower and rest. It's close enough to the beach that we could even go for another walk at the beach before checking out. The staff were very nice, low-key and helpful.

The owners have done a beautiful job with this property. We were pleased with the clean room, the bedsheets w/military corners, and the big beautiful pool. We usually stay in Galveston but tried here since cheaper priced.

Great location and pool,which was a big deal with a young child to have the option of either. Beach access not direct but nearby. Staff was responsive and friendly. Rates were reasonable. Unless you expect every place you stay to be The Four Seasons, this is a great, low-key location.

Rooms were spacious, parking was easy and plenty of space. Ac and fan were enough to keep us cold all night. Bed was roomy but the mattess was not firm enough for me. We didnt spend much time at the room and the pool closes at 10pm so didnt get to use that. It is very close to the beach and restaurants! I would stay again.

The staff was very nice. It's obvious the hotel has had a make over but not a good one. Overall, the room was clean and they have a NICE pool! I could name a lot of things but my top 5 are 1) No elevator and no mention of it when reserving. 2) No lights around the stairs or rooms, which makes it hard at night and early morning when your on the second floor 3) Room smelled musty, even the pillows had a smell 4) Bathroom area had no ventilation or any place to hang your towels, a small fan would have been nice and a hook behind the door 5) the property was not kept up, lots of trash around the property. We will not stay here again.

The property has improved since our last stay 3 yrs ago, but there was no electrical outlet to plug in the lamp in between the beds so that resulted in having to charge our cell phones and plug up the lamp across the room. Also Expedia said there was direct access to the beach, but there was no access at all without leaving the property. The attendant that checked us in was really nice and the lobby smelled fresh and clean. Overall, it was okay but really pricey, but it was a holiday weekend.
