Best Western Vicksburg

"Easy check-in, requested a dog friendly room on first floor and the request was honored. Easy access to and from the highway, ample parking, however parking spots are tight near the hotel doors with allot of worker trucks. The workers left very early in the morning and weren't the quietest crew leaving, (no fault of the hotel) . The hotel moved the dog area from its previous location on our last stay to a back area beyond the parking lot, where old broken down air conditioners and parts are living around along with other trash. Im appreciative the hotel allows pets for $33, but why not at least invest a few dollars to make it a safe area. Last trip here there were stray dogs roaming the property and it appears they have been replaced by a new set of stray dogs. Can't blame the hotel but it's something to be aware of. Standard Best Western breakfast bar with a very nice host trying to make everything right. Not sure we will stay here again until the dog area improves but if you have no dog, you're getting an okay room for a decent price."

"We always have a nice stay. We just don’t like the smell of marijuana in the lobby area and not being able to access the casino entrance from the hotel. Other than that, we like the hospitality of the staff."

"8 of us came up for our annual two day fishing tournament on Lake Bruin. The property was perfect for us. We could have definitely slept more than 8, but 4 trucks hooked to boats was about the max we could fit to park. We enjoyed the open floor plan kitchen and living area. It was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and I plan to for our annual trip next year."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. For some reason we were under the impression that we could swim or cool off in the water. Not the case. Not sure where the fault lies but it is/was not an option. The rest of the rental was as described."
