"A good place to base yourself if you are planning to look around Cornwall. The Hotel is excellent all round. The "cell" was very clean, spacious and well appointed and the breakfasts were great. The staff were very helpful and do all that they can to make your stay as good as it can be. Wouldn't hesitate in returning or recommending to friends."

"Had a lovely stay! The room was clean, comfortable and well presented, and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The food was also fantastic, with plenty of choice and everything we had was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Would definitely recommend!"

"The Great Western Hotel is an older building which I understand is shortly to undergo some sort of refurbishment. We received a good standard of service. Staff were pleasant and unfailingly helpful. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and of good quality."

"The hotel is set in lovely grounds and our balcony looked over the beautiful trees. The room was extremely comfortable and with everything we needed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room service breakfast was excellent. We had a very relaxing stay and look forward to visiting again."

"Stayed here many times under different management, but small attention to detail wasn't as good this time. Certain things not clarified at check in, a few minor issues with room, some which were dealt with very quickly, others which couldn't be, but were things that should have been known by staff. Staff very friendly and attentive though"
