Gorgeously located on the shores of Squamish Harbor in Port Ludlow, this water-view home exudes calm, relaxation, and serene natural beauty in every season. It's a wonderful spot to spend the summer collecting seashells on the beach across the street and winter holidays curled up under a blanket with a view of Puget Sound. The interior living space is full of natural light, with windows throughout the home that frame views of either the ocean or the surrounding evergreen canopy. Come home from a morning on the beach, a kayaking excursion, pickle ball court, or an exploration of the Olympic Peninsula to toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer and both prepare and eat dinner with an incredible view. Bring your coffee and dessert outside to the deck, and settle in for a good show or a movie in either the loft or the downstairs den.

This water-view home is located on Squamish Harbor in the peaceful community of Port Ludlow, across the street from a set of steps that lead to the beach (please note that the steps are on a pulley/wrench system and they need to be lowered and raised). You'll be two miles down the road from Shine Tidelands State Park, a great place for fishing, harvesting shellfish, birding, kayaking, and walking the beach. The small town of Port Ludlow is six miles north, where you'll find the marina, the Port Ludlow Golf Club, and the Village Market for your convenience. And if you're looking to explore this lovely part of the Olympic Peninsula even further, you'll find the charming Victorian town of Port Townsend only 22 miles north.

Beautiful View

This house was perfect for us and our visiting family from North Dakota. The view is spectacular. The house is big and had enough space for all. The house is a little outdated but was very clean. Yard is huge. There was a pickleball/basketball court that the family loved.

Excellent vacation home.

We loved the location, the view, the close access to the launch for our canoe and kayaks, the pickleball courts and basketball hoop, and especially the layout for sleeping arrangements. The beds were comfortable and our group had nine people that all get up and go to bed at different times so the layout created a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for us. The sulfur smell in the water wasn’t ideal, but we knew about that when we rented. WiFi wasn’t great but again, we knew ahead of time and were making memories with family anyway so it wasn’t needed. We brought a zero water filter which helped but we also had to buy ice. The ice maker wasn’t working but we would have purchased the ice anyway due to the sulfur. Overall, we were in love with the place and thankful for the time we had there. We’ll definitely go again if we can arrange it with the family. ♥️

Beautiful scenic view and Mongolian BBQ grill

The view was awesome. There were also a lot of alternative play areas for kids, such as basketball, pickle ball, sands, and also boardgames in the den and upstairs. The most remarkable thing was the Mongolian bbq grill. First time experience and we used it all night. It was very intuitive and out was highly delicious. I am still a fan of charcoal ones, but this is an awesome choice for getaways. Just one thing to consider. If you are sensitive to highway noise, this property may be suitable for you. It was not a big deal for us and we enjoyed and spent a very good time at the property overall.

Can't beat the view!

Spacious, nicely furnished, with comfortable couches and beds. Kids enjoyed the super comfy futons. Plenty of room to spread out, esp with loft space. Everyone enjoyed spending early mornings and evenings on the front deck, overlooking the water. Fun to let down the stairs across the street at low tide to explore the rocky beach. Several of us enjoyed early morning strolls down the street (almost no traffic), enjoying the early AM water views. Only downsides (minor, no big deal to us) was spotty wifi (we were trying to stream movies) and little to no "extras" in the kitchen in terms of salt, pepper, oil, etc (dishes and cookware were fine). As others mentioned, there is quite a bit of traffic noise from the street behind the house (not the street right in front of the water), but the views more than made up for that! Highly recommend!

Too many cobwebs to count

My husband had to quickly get off dining room chair as the legs were very wobbly. No TV or internet... no idea why there is a TV there.... no DVD player so couldnt even go out and get a movie. Planned power outage last day so woke up with no coffee or shower before leaving. We should have been told there would be one.

The home worked out very well for our multi-generational family. The view is great. Suggest bringing bottled water, as the tap water has an odor.

Our Seattle family vacation

It was a beautiful home, in a peaceful remote setting overlooking Squamish Harbor. We had 9 people, and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

We loved the location and ease of access! One of the numbers on the keypad was difficult to push and made the door a little hard to open. The tops of the cabinets were visibly dusty from the loft. Overall very comfortable, beautiful views, and we would stay again!

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. My only suggestion is to replace the plumbing fixtures in the tub/shower combo off of the kitchen and have the drains throughout the home cleaned. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you.

A nice and peace place

We are 3 families and stayed 2 nights. The place is very nice and peaceful. There are 4 bedroom and 3 in-suite bathrooms that is incredible convenient to us. The big thing is there is Ev charger in garage and it is level 2 charger which can charge my Model Y in 11KW/H. We love this place and it must be one of my best dream vacation houses and i will recommend to my friends definitely.

This home was perfect for our family to gather and relax in! Lots of spaces to spread out in and to come together in. The beds are very comfortable; I meant to look to see the brand of memory foam (?) mattresses they have but put it off until it was too late. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and pots & pans. The internet was better than advertised and we didn't have any problem connecting several devices and streaming videos all at the same time. I suspect the water is from a well as it had a slight sulfur smell to it (as others have complained about) but we got used to it and didn't notice it after the first day. The water heater is small though, and I never got a good shower - mostly because I took mine after doing dishes or after my SO had taken theirs. The showers came with single-use sized bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body soap bars, what a nice surprise. There is a TON of parking, though the drive way might get dicey if there was any ice on the ground. Across the street is the water and your access to it. It is a seep set of wooden stairs down to a landing/deck and then another set of stairs down to the beach - unfortunately though, these last steps ended about 2 feet above the ground and there was a lot of tree trunks and other tree debris there making getting down trickier than we though worth it. The grounds around the home are nicely landscaped with several apple (?) trees. There is also a pickleball (?) / small basketball

Beautiful location but did have some issues.

Positives: The view from the house and porch is beautiful, beds were comfortable, plenty of parking and quality space for kids to run around and play on the grass and on the basketball court. Negatives: Beach access is difficult with missing steps, nearby ramp to beach is on private property and is not to be utilized per owners. Primary issue within home was lack of response/service. Dishwasher was broken, and there was a significant smell in the hot water, both sinks and showers. When I informed Vacasa, I was told that the maintenance team would be notified, but no one came by and I received no further contact. This was a significant issue as we had young children on the trip and they didn't want to take showers because the smell was overwhelming to them.

Great house and location, but it needs some TLC

The door code given to me didn't work so we had to stand out in the ugly, rain and call Vacasa to get a new code. After 20+ minutes, we finally got it. We thought there was a fire pit, but there wasn't. The "grill" listed was not a BBQ, but a flat-top, so we couldn't do s'mores like we'd planned. The kitchen needed a new set of pans, a cookie sheet, larger cooking dishes (like a 9" x 13" or 10" x 15" Pyrex dish) and serving platters/plates as well as A sharp knife! When a house says it will sleep 10+ people, I would expect it to have more than one 8" x 8" dish. The washer and dryer needed to be deep cleaning and smelled like mold and mildew. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, and the linen closet was nicely stocked. I'm not sure if the listing said anything about having a hair dryer, but it would've been nice to know that they supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, paper towels, dish soap, new sponge etc. so I didn't have to pack it. The driveway was huge and could easily hold 8+ cars. We didn't like the fact that the garbage from the previous party was taking up 3/4 of the outside, rolling bin and stuck so bad, we had to keep moving it farther and farther away from the house so we could stand walking past it into the house. The stairs on the pulley system were broken so we couldn't get down to the beach and had to use the next-door neighbor's stairs. Looked like someone was getting ready to pour some new concrete stairs, but that didn't help my 85-year-old Uncle.
