Relaxing, fun family lakefront retreat - 30 mins to Halifax!!

Welcome to our beautiful piece of paradise where you’ll enjoy a beautiful lakeside getaway with all amenities included. Come enjoy the “East Coast lifestyle”. Located on picturesque Porters Lake - the most popular recreational/swimming lake in Nova Scotia and only 8 minutes from world class surfing at Lawrencetown beach! Book your surfing lesson at East Coast Surf School. We’re also close to many other white sand beaches, scenic walking/hiking trails, cozy cafes and museums.

This spacious, self contained 2 bedroom apartment is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and 3 stunning original South African paintings. Only steps away from our sandy beach, cedar playground, trampoline, fire pit, dock, hammock and 175ft of lake waterfront. Come relax with a glass of wine by the fire pit or go on a scenic adventure on one of the kayaks or paddle boards. There’s a gradual walkout into the lake making it ideal for children. The water is “brakish” (mix of salt and fresh water) and great for swimming (no leaches). Just make sure to pack water shoes to protect your feet as there are some sharp rocks and shells. We also have a large foam floating water mat. There are yard games like ladder toss and rope toss. With so many amenities and fun activities many of our guests spend most of their vacation on site enjoying all that our property has to offer.
We are conveniently located 15 minutes from Dartmouth Crossing, 30 minutes from Halifax waterfront, 40 minutes to Peggy’s Cove and 35 minutes from Halifax International Airport!

The modern and bright kitchen is fully equipped with full size Fridgedaire Gallery stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), coffee maker, convection toaster oven, electric kettle and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal. There’s a walk in pantry to store your groceries where you’ll find the recycling bins. Condiments, oil, some spices, sugar, tea, and coffee are provided.
We have a propane cooking pot for cooking lobster/seafood outside that’s available upon request.

The open concept living room/kitchen/dining room has a beautiful view of the lake. The living area has a 50” Smart TV with Netflix and cable. The dining table will comfortably seat 6 people. There’s a stackable washer and dryer (shared with the adjacent apartment) conveniently located in the utility room just off the dining area stocked with laundry detergent. Please note that we have a maximum of 5 guests in this unit (2 queens and one twin foldable cot style bed - available upon request).

The bathroom has a full size bathtub/shower, linen closet, double sinks with lots of storage. It’s fully stocked with fresh towels, facecloths, hand towels, body wash, hair dryer, and shampoo/conditioner.

The 2 bedrooms have beautiful lake views and they’re located down the hallway away from the living space. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with quality linens and blackout curtains. Each room has a large closet with shelves for storage and hangers for your clothing and personal items.

The apartment is located on the bottom level of our 3 unit home. My family lives on the upper level and we have a second vacation rental on the bottom level. Please inquire if you have friends or family who would like to rent the other unit so you can vacation together. Both rentals have their own private entrance contactless smart locks for easy check-in and 2 free designated parking spots for each unit. Please keep in mind that the covered patio area is a shared space but each side has it’s own separate sitting area. There’s also a shared BBQ with propane provided.
