Perfect Space to Experience Porto

My partner and I loved this space. It was clean, just as pictured and right in the heart of everything! Close to restaurants, bars, sites, the river, etc. Even though the bustling street was just below, you could close the windows, doors and shutters and get a great night’s sleep. Super comfy bed too! Matthieu is a fabulous host. We arrived late and Matthieu welcomed us patiently with information about the city and warm hospitality! Highly, highly recommend!

You get what you pay for. The fee is reasonable and the location is great, but the furnishings are shabby and the comfort level is minimal. Better pillows and bath linens would be good, also a shower that didn't leak all over the floor without herculean effort to keep the water in.

Excellent location

Very cute little room with coffee pot and kettle, a couple plates and cups, a few coffee filters and tea bags which was appreciated. No hot water the first morning but was quickly resolved. Bed is comfortable. Walk to everything in the old town of Porto including the river, a ton of restaurants and shops, and all the main tourist attractions. Would stay here again. Three flights of stairs up to room.

Wonderful!!

My communication was mostly with the owner’s girlfriend, Isabel. She was lovely and very communicative throughout the process! The apartment is in a great location, close to the water and the main ribeira strip. The balcony is great and has a great view over a smaller side street. No complaints.

Perfect Location and Great Apartment

I’d never been to Porto before and found this efficiency on HomeAway. It’s really perfect if you need a simple, clean, and well-maintained place to stay. The gorgeous balcony doors open and close smoothly (I feel like that’s an indication of quality), and the floor to ceiling windows let in tons of light. The shower has great pressure, plenty of hot water, and the bed is comfortable. There’s an electric kettle, coffeemaker, and small refrigerator; which is all we needed. The apartment is above a coffee shop with the absolute best and freshest breakfast in Porto (Cafe do Comercial). It’s perfectly located between the river, beautiful old sights, and the convention center (which I was there for). I’ll miss Porto and if I find my way there again, I’d stay here again for sure. Thank you, Mathieu!
