"Arrived after midnight, so straight to bed. The room was clean, but very warm, so had to turn the temperature down. Went down for breakfast, but as the plates were cold, the hot food quickly went cold, so didn't finish. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. "

"Many of the rooms have been renovated, but the hotel appears to be going for a very minimalist approach. Our room had a bed, a slim desk with an office chair, and two small side tables, along with five hangers on a long metal bar and three small hooks for clothing. There was definitely not enough hangers or space for one person’s clothes, let alone for two people staying in the room. The room did include an espresso machine and a water kettle, which we appreciated. The room had a large TV, but even though it was a smart TV, the hotel had disabled access to apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime, which meant we could only watch cable TV rather than log into our own streaming apps. The room also came with an ironing board on the wall, and an iron and small fan that were all placed on the floor in the corner of the room, which made the overall design feel even more awkward and unfinished. There was no mini fridge, no drawers, no dresser, no safe, no phone to call the front desk for service, no bench to sit on while taking your shoes off, no artwork on the walls, and no small dining table with comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or snacks. The washroom also had very limited space for toiletries, especially with no drawers or storage areas available. Overall, the room felt so empty that we immediately noticed it upon entering. Unfortunately, it gave the space an unfinished and somewhat awkward feeling rather than a comfortable or cozy atmosphere."

"Hotel location is ideal - next to the train station and less than 10 minute train ride to Manchester City with plenty of trains passing through. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful check-in was easy and there’s a secure luggage room if you arrive a bit early and want to explore without your suitcase. We booked a twin room which was really comfortable, there were big beds, plenty of chairs, storage, hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee, iron etc. Everything we needed and we had a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was clean and spacious, my friend loved the shower! Breakfast was served downstairs - it was busy due to guests staying after a football match but there plenty of tables and seats for everyone. There was a big range of hot and cold food and drinks and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Checkout was smooth and efficient. We had a great stay and would stay at this hotel again if we’re in the area again."
