"This is a decidedly average hotel. The rooms are clean enough, though on the smaller side. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The AC and mini fridge work fine. I never had trouble finding a parking space. The staff at the front desk were all reasonably friendly. The hotel is priced on the lower end for the area, and it's a nice area to stay while visiting SF. But there were just so many little things that bugged me to the point I checked out early: I found I wasn't able to get any work done on my laptop, in part because it was just a cramped work space with the desk chair practically bumping up against the bed - but more because the WiFi kept dropping off. The TV just didn't work (aside from turning on and showing static). I didn't bother asking for assistance. I don't like having to ring the bell any time I want to enter the front office. I wasn't impressed that the person at the front desk couldn't explain to me how to make an outgoing call from the phone in the room. (For whatever reason, I couldn't get a signal on my cell phone.) I was in a first-floor room and heard so much noise coming from the room above me. I can attribute only so much of that to the parties above me being loud; it seemed like the ceilings were just super-thin. Bottom line is, there are better places to stay around here for around the same price. In a pinch, I might return, but my other go-tos would all have to be booked or charging a lot more."

"Hotel was in a perfect location for all the pier and excursion pick up activities that we plan (Napa Valley tour and Alcatraz). The room was clean and comfortable. The other areas of the hotel could be a bit more updated and refreshed -- carpets, furniture, elevators. One elevator was not working and there are only two which caused a bit of a wait when going to and from our room. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating :-). People should be told about the stairway -- if you go in, you may get locked in which is a bit of concern and a security issue if you are not aware. Overall, I would stay there again based on the clean room and friendly staff and location."
