You are walking distance to Houghton Lake (Michigan's biggest inland lake) and a boat launch within a mile for a fisherman/boater's paradise. This home is also centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants, ORV trails, and golf courses. Across the street (M55) is an iconic diner (Powell's) for breakfast and lunch. In close proximity are many bars, restaurants and Pines movie theater.

Nice rental home with plenty of room

Very comfortable rental home. Plenty of room. Master bed is very comfortable. Convenient for lake activities. Not so convenient to get to the UTV trails, but we made it work.

Very pleasant stay

Very happy with this stay. Doug was communicative and friendly. The house was in a great area with access to stores and highways and so close to the lake. We checked in with no issues and found this cute little home to be cozy and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival I noticed how neat & clean everything was . Accommodations were adequate.

We had a lovely time. Everything was convenient. We had time to discover the area & enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. We found a great restaurant right up the street . Love that they are dog friendly.

Short Trip

A short stay, with everything needed to make this simple and very enjoyable, very clean and well equipped, the portable AC unit kept us very comfortable on a very hot couple of days. Definitely worth a return trip.

Nice central location, clean & welcoming

Rental Home is close to many restaurants, shopping, boat launches, and beach. Fishing was not so good the 2nd week of June but it was fun being on the water. Beds were comfortable, sheets and blankets soft. Grandchildren who stayed with us a couple of days commented that the house was "homey". We agreed.

Girls Getaway

The property was nice with all everything that we needed for our stay. It is an older home and appears that the owner has made several updates. Would consider this listing if ever in the area again. (P.S. Maybe time to purchase a new toaster. When the items are done, it doesn't pop up. Either have to unplug and remove item with knife or tip toaster upside down to remove item) Enjoyed out time in Houghton Lake.

Nice cabin

Nice place, clean and organized. 2 small issues. The heat register in the bathroom doorway is a toe killer! You could replace with a proper one designed to be on a floor and fit flush. Secondly the neighbor was burning his trash/plastic about 20 feet outside the front door the entire time we were there, I understand there isn't much you can do about it but I thought it should be mentioned.

This was a really nice unit. Not on the water, but within a few minutes drive time to Houghton Lake, and 20 minutes to Higgins Lake. Lots of beautiful trails, boat launches, and public parks. Located on a quiet street, close to stores and restaurants. Would stay here again. The host was more than accommodating, and made sure every need was met. The house is well equipped, even down to a crate for your dog. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus!
