Great host. Went out of his way to help us. Good breakfast. Clean, large room with very comfortable beds. Not too far of a walk to the waterfront and shops and restaurants.

2 nights at Haiken Hostal

Stayed in Punta Arenas for 2 nights 1 day after being in Puerto Natales. There is not a ton to do in the city so I wish we would have just stayed one night. The room was great and the breakfast was good. The people who work in the hostal are helpful and friendly. It did take about 5 minutes for anyone to answer the door when we got there, but the rest of the trip was great.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Whole property is nice and warm. Breakfast was really good and they even prepared it early for us when we had to leave early in the morning. Location is convenient for the town centre and one of the bus stations for Puerto Natales is only 2 minutes walk away. They've got two adorable dogs, there are board games and there's a fully equipped kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. There's also a laundry machine and dryer that can be used for free, even including the detergent. Rooms are a bit tight for space and the private bathrooms are actually separate from the bedroom so still need to go through public spaces to get to the bathroom. The bathrooms are also lacking enough hooks/hanging spaces so it's a bit awkward to keep toiletries and clothes when showering.

My room had a stunning view overlooking Punta Arenas. Host manager was incredible, helpful and provided breakfast that accommodated tour schedules! Convenient to walk to many sites in the area. Other guests were nice to meet as well.

Good staff, the manager Gustavo is a gem, very helpful & friendly-any questions quickly answered with a smile. Free laundry a nice bonus. Lots of shopping, attractions in a 15 minute walking radius.

A hostel

The hostel is located in an alley. Google map may show you incorrect directions. The breakfast was simple. There was two days without hot shower. The owner was a nice guy.

A little gem! Haiken Hostal is a great place to stay. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The kitchen facilities are good (not that we did any cooking but we did make use of the washing machine and tumble dryer, which was a real bonus).What sets it apart is the staff, who are friendly, helpful and want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, even getting up at 4 am to make breakfast for us before we set off on an excursion - very few hotels would do that, we were very impressed! A great place to stay, we loved it!
