This community is ideally situated just a 5-7 minute walk to several beach accesses, shopping & numerous dining options in the heart of the fun and safe tourist/ expat town of Punta Cana, called El Cortecito. Great proximity with the Punta Cana International Airport 22 minute drive, San Juan Super mall, 16 minute drive, 9 championship golf courses just 4 - 35 minute drive away. Palma Real Mall just a 4 minute drive away. Sidewalks are now in, so ease in walking is possible nearly everywhere.
By car – just a 4 to 35 minute drive to the Punta Cana International airport; large and modern shopping malls and plazas offering supermarkets, international brand name shops, IMAX theatres, 9 championship golf courses, hospitals and clinics, ocean parks, water parks & much more! Property needs updating. We were shocked to learn it was only 10 years old. Feels like it’s been 25 years but that can happen with properties close to the ocean. Layout was hood but screens have holes, windows and sliding doors don’t slide well, the “toaster” is a pocket sandwich maker and there is absolutely not one iota of soap, coffee, tea, dish liquid or anything at all to make a stay just a tiny bit more pleasant. The grocery store is NOT a 5 min walk, its at least 15 mins over terrible roads and sidewalks. Impassable during a rainstorm- bring lots of bug spray and take an uber if you have any difficulty in walking at all. Beach IS close and very nice. Condo is very quiet and away from the street.
It was all good. The property, pool and condo are exactly as advertised, everything was spacious and clean. Security on the grounds is good, always felt safe. The grounds and buildings are well kept. The beach is at a close walking distance and so are some smaller food markets. The Jumbo market at the San Juan Mall is bigger but you must take a taxi or a local bus for only one US dollar. Todd was prompt at communicating and organizing our taxis, and Gregory was very helpful and punctual. The power bill for two weeks was very reasonable. The location of Sol Tropical condos was perfect, just close enough to the beach and far enough away from the all-inclusive resorts noise. We had a wonderful vacation.

Great Stay!!
We recently spent a week at Sol Tropical. First time travel to RD. Transportation was arranged to and from the airport. The driver was friendly and very helpful with luggage. We were greeted by Benjamin at the unit. He was very responsive to questions by phone or text. The place is just as pictured! Very clean and well maintained. The grounds and pool were great too. We were very close to the beach, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants and shopping. All within walking distance. Don't need a car. There was security on the grounds. We felt completely safe the entire time. I would highly recommend this place and Reliable Realty. We will be back!!

Exceeded Our Expectations
My husband, two adult children and I visited the condo over Christmas break. Everything was exactly as explained in the listing, and Todd from Reliable Realty was very easy to work with. We decided to go to Punta Cana as a last minute whim, and he processed our request and payments within hours. He also arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, who was on-time, courteous and helpful. When we arrived we noticed that the refrigerator/freezer was not as cool as it should have been; I contacted Todd and he sent a handyman the next day. He found the fan not working, fixed the part and it worked fine from then. The condo has beautiful woodwork, up-to-date furnishings and everything you would need to cook for yourselves. The grounds were well-maintained and we were pleased to see security in the courtyard and gate entrance 24/7. The local area is booming with restaurants, bars, and shops. There are only a few very small local markets, however, so I recommend stopping at the large grocery store on your way back from the airport. Prices at the restaurants are shown in local Pesos as well as US Dollars and European Euros, and they accept all three currencies. Bring a lot of small bills, however, because you will not receive change in anything other than Pesos. Overall we can't say enough about our amazing winter getaway, and we all decided that we would like to make this our family's new yearly tradition!
