The grounds were phenomenal, and you can’t beat the beach (except for the vendors can get a little pushy). The rooms were good and the housekeeping was above par. The electrical outlets are finicky at best and we struggled to rotate our devices between working outlets to keep things charged. The staff was amazing and attentive.

This was our first trip to Punta Cana. We took our son for his college graduation. We researched resorts that would be conducive to both parent and young adult entertainment. The Riu Palace Punta Cana was just okay. Very dated rooms and bathrooms, bed linens were thin and scratchy, our room had a funny stale smell, food was not very good, our crowd stayed hungry most of trip. The hotel halls were dirty with half eaten plates of food left sitting out, trash and large hairballs. The staff wasn’t very friendly other than the pool & beach bar staff, they were great. Restaurant staff were rude at times and not very accommodating. We do plan to return to Punta Cana, but we will not return to a Riu resort.

Staff are helpful, clean resort, buffet food is okay, they do have some traditional food such as mangu con salami, sancocho and white rice. Resort a little out dated, I had To change my room due to mold smell, AC not working & the bed sheets had a mildew smell. Asked to change the sheets but still. Overall, average stay.

Rooms are clean and well stocked with toiletries. Staff is friendly. Unless you are into partying at clubs, there was not much entertainment. Local live music, but no shows that I was used to at other resorts. Not sure if that changes during summer months... Other than that, our stay was great. Beach is amazing! They kept it very clean from seaweeds...

I had great experience.The staff was great, the variety of food was good and very tasty. Great service provided by the hotel staff.The property was clean and my room was cleaned daily. The beach and pool area was beautiful and clean .Things I was unhappy with was my tv never worked, there were electricity issues, out of the multiple sockets in the room I was only able to use one. Toilet pressure was very low and they may need to get an exterminator for their mild roach problem.
