Our stay was quite nice the room was clean and within an easy 15 min walk to the old city. The walk was safe with great access to shops and wonderful restaurants. The only draw back either missed or was not stated is that there are no elevators and the stairway up is narrow and steep. The building had the old world feel to it and the neighbourhood was safe.

Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Quebec. Walking distance to the old city and all its attractions. The room was perfect and we were lucky enough to have a lovely outlook from our room. Full of charm and quirkiness the room came with extras in the bathroom. There is a small shop right down stairs and lovely cafe for breakfast in the st behind. Whilst the hotel does not have a formal reception all communication is done by sms and very easy to access the hotel and your room. Just be prepared to walk up some windy creaky stair’s to get into the hotel and your room but these just adds to the charm and quirkiness of the place 10 out of 10 for our stay.

The hotel was run quite efficiently, with no staff at the reception, but they messaged me regularly, and responded quickly to my questions. The rooftop terrace is plain, but it has an amazing view of the city!

Very clean property. Check-in was virtual but had no issues. Responses to any questions were very quick. Location is great! Very close to Old Town area. Would absolutely stay here again. Wonderful experience and loved the rooftop patio. Great sunset views!

Lovely Stay

Sincerely enjoyed my stay at the Château des Tourelles in May 2025. Easy self-check in, with the team being very accessible by text and phone as needed. It was 20 minute walk or so to Vieux-Quebec, with other landmarks. It is an old building with a lot of charm and everything is kept in good working condition.

No kitchen in the room, as expected. Old building but well modernised. Temp control in the room. Building and room access by keypad code.had no issues with the system. Staff were cordial and immediately responsive when contacted (phone and text). No elevator and no adjacent parking so something to keep in mind if you have limited mobility. The hotel has a covered garage with a few parking spaces. It is 300m from the hotel and small for larger vehicles. You need a physical key to get in and out, which is left in the room. Works well but requires some logistics.

The hotel is an eccentric sort of place located over 3 floors in Old Quebec. First thing to say is that the location is brilliant, bang in the middle of an area overflowing with bars and restaurants, and easily walkable to the main shopping area and a number of the main attractions. Our room was a decent size and the bed was large and firm. On the downside this is an unmanned hotel, without a reception, the only human contact being a guy who does housekeeping. It also has very steep stairs and no lift. To be fair this is made clear at the time of booking but we were also told that a member of staff would be made available to assist with our bags. We followed their instructions to the letter but arrived at the appointed time and not a sign of anyone to help. We therefore struggled up to the top floor with our own heavy bags(we're in our 70's and touring for a month). We complained, they apologised and assured us that help would be available for our departure. That was this morning and again no one turned up. The first night my wife drew the curtains and the heavy metal bar holding the curtains just fell out of it's socket badly bruising her arm. We told housekeeping and the guy took photos to send to management. 4 days later nothing had been done. Not even an enquiry re my wife's arm. Soundproofing was a problem. We were in room 6 and the first 3 days we could clearly hear snoring from the adjacent room. Overall a lovely location but a tired old building with problems.

This property is a lovely old building that has been well cared for and updated. It is very clean and comfortable, and is well supplied with everything we need. We’re happy we found it.
