"The room was very modern and clean. We appreciated that the air conditioning worked. Our only complaint is that the wifi was a bit unreliable."

"I appreciated the high ceilings in the studio, tall bank of windows that fully opened to the street below, small table and chairs, comfortable bed, clean kitchenette with small fridge and plates and cups for two. The shower had hot water and good pressure. Soap dispense on wall, but no shampoo or conditioner or moisturizer one would normally find at a hotel in the States. Clean towels were not provided even when housekeeping was requested. They were given on request but dirty towels were not taken away. One morning there was load door slamming caused by staff (had to go ask them to stop slamming the door). Expedia assured that, due to strike at the Berlin Airport and delayed flight, the hotel would reimburse the first night. They did not and the manager was not nice about it. Shrugged me off and told me to contact the airline instead. No apology, told me I could have taken the train instead (from the US). No breakfast is provided despite indications online that it would be. Location was convenient to tram on the East side. Heads up, graffiti is all over entrance and you have to go down dark side alley to use key to get into At nights. Inside hall light did not come on consistently so felt unsafe at times. The lobby is lovely—the main reason I chose—and there are nice cafes nearby, but note most only accept cash. Location worked well my visit. The lobby is lovely. Will probably not return here next time due to refusal to reimburse first night as they had agreed. "

"Kitchen had everything we needed, including washing up supplies, oil, salt, sugar and a bean-to-cup coffee machine with beans. The bedrooms were spacious, with plenty of storage and the bathroom was stocked with hair/shower gel and had a washing machine. One improvement would be - we booked the apartment for 4, and there were only 3 bath towels, but our younger son used a small towel instead, so wasn't the end of the world. The location was perfect - lovely, more local area, not full of tourists, but with plenty of transport around, a supermarket within 5 minutes walk and lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops. "

"Our room was very comfortable, and the bed was great. The location is also fantastic, which was the reason for teh stay, and teh digital assistant tools for check-in and the online help were very accurate and very fast. The only thing that could be improved is the ability to hang up your clothing; the facilities (a few hangers that can only be used in one place) are not enough if you're staying more than a few days. But will stay again. Thanks! "

"The hotel isn't much to look at from the outside, but the interror is lovely. Going by other reviews, there has recently been some renovation (which caused some disruption), but the end result is a thing to behold. Clearly a lot of thought and design expertise has gone into the renovation. The rooms are stunning -- as good as any top tier hotel I've visited recently. I was genuinely surprised by the quality."
