Our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Durham University Medical Center was absolutely amazing. This was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in in a long time. The room was fresh and spotless from the moment we walked in. The bedding was crisp, the bathroom sparkling, and even the walls, ceilings, windows, and carpet were dust-free and odor-free. You can truly tell they take pride in cleanliness. The entire staff was professional, helpful, and ensured we had a great stay. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy, making everything seamless. We were in town for my son’s regional wrestling tournament, and he had to leave super early. Being the mom I am, I made sure he had breakfast from the many delicious, hot and fresh options available. A staff member kindly wrapped it for me so I could take it to him. He loved it, and it helped fuel him for the day. He placed at Regionals! Thank you for such care and hospitality. I wish I remembered her name, but please know how much we appreciated her kindness.

We have stayed at this Hampton Inn & Suites many times. As might be expected, the Suites are more comfortable, but the Hampton Inn rooms are well-appointed as well. The hot chocolate bar is a nice touch, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The complementary breakfast offers more variety than most Hampton Inns I have stayed in, though it would be better if they offered different fruit options and more vegetarian options. Their coffee is, er, not the best -- true of any Hampton Inn I have stayed at. But, overall, I think this Hampton Inn and Suites offers a fine blend of comfort, convenience, and economy, and I expect we will continue to stay here when we come to Durham.
