FALCONS VIEW: Spacious Studio with Breathtaking Views

Falcons View is nestled in the Ruahine Ranges. Private and elevated there are views of the rolling rural landscapes from every window.
The Studio is a low voltage off-grid system. There is a Queen Bed, Self-contained kitchenette, wood stove, gas cooker, and solar lighting. It still gets reception for most mobile internet technology. With access to native bush walks, hiking trails, and local wetlands, there is plenty to see while you are here, but take a break; genuinely rest. Unplug and slow down, that's what Falcons View is for.
A significant highlight is the OPTIONAL outside Wood Fired Hot tub that can be requested for $150 hire.

This place is a hidden gem. One of the best location and accommodation we've stayed so far. Amazing view of the sunset across the horizon. It was also raining throughout our stay and being in the hot tub while raining is just so relaxing. We'll definitely be back here soon.

This is such a beautiful place to reset and relax! We loved the wood fire hot tub so much and the fireplace inside was so cozy. The views and sunsets were amazing, we are speechless and can not wait to come back again soon. The bush trail was super fun to explore as well. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful spot .

Such a lovely place to stay! Kitchen utensils all stocked and two gas cookers to cook with. Bed and couch super comfortable, and lots of firewood outside for when we ran out. ATV ride up and down was a great part of the experience and all our luggage fit! Wouldn’t bring too many perishables if staying longer than three days as even the best chilly bin can’t keep milk cold for that long!

I recently had the most amazing experience staying at the flacons view studio in Rangiwahia, and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place for you.

Had an amazing stay here. Hosts were very kind and incredibly helpful. View from the room was absolutely amazing and was in a fairly close range of some great hiking trails and natural destinations. Lovely place to go for some peace and quiet. Getting up and down from the bach without the multi-terrain vehicle is a bit of a challenge, but overall a great stay!

Glorious bush retreat

Magnificent view at the top of this very steep track. Thanks to our hosts who kindly shuttled us up and down and rescued us on another occasion. Despite cold morning and evening temperatures we were Very cosy with the little wood stove going and lovely snuggly bed. Thanks very much!

Beautiful spot

Orelle and Hamish were very kind with our delayed check in, it was an exciting experience going up in the all terrain vehicle in the dark with our bags! Beautiful studio and views and very soft comfy bed. We walked up to Rangiwahia Hut and back in a day which made for tired legs walking up the steep path to the studio, make sure you bring a rain jacket and decent boots. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay.

We had a great time at Falcon’s view

We stayed for 4 nights at Falcon’s view and had an awesome time! The first full day the rain bucketed down meaning we just rested! The next two days we were able to get out and do small walks around Ian McKeans Pinetum, the swamplands, the Rangiwahia Reserve and Pemberton’s corner. The cabin was warm (fire), cooking was on gas stovetops. There was an Esky for keeping food cool ( Hamish and Orelle provided the ice packs). Shower was amazing! ( Gas). The ride on the ATV up to the cabin was very cool!! Thank you so much Orelle and Hamish for a wonderful time!!
