We throughly enjoyed our stay. One of our family members was getting married at the Hermitage Hills Estate and it was a perfect location for this since there are no hotels close.
Loved the Blue Heron…..it’s a beautiful lake house and all our needs were met.
The blue Heron was everything we wanted for our vacation. It’s beautiful, clean and was stocked with everything we needed for a great stay. Rhonda and Al are very nice and made sure if we needed something they would supply it for us….i highly recommend staying at any of their lake houses.
We had such a great time staying here! We had a blast playing on the lake in the pontoon and kayaks! The house had everything you could need and the communication was as perfect. Definitely recommend.
Host was easy to reach if neede but respected our privacy. Use of pontoon to get out on the lake was great. Listing matched the property and expectations. Plan to return!
Overall this place is perfect for a relaxing getaway! We had 8 adults for a long weekend getaway and space was no issue. The house was perfect and the fishing was good! We rented the pontoon which made the trip even better. The owners were awesome and friendly. No issues!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very spacious 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home. Lots of seating inside and out. On the lake with beautiful views and it was only steps from the house. Enjoyed the fishing and the pontoon boat was a big plus...can't beat the rental price of the pontoon. Great hosts and excellent communication. Will definitely plan to stay again.
Nice place on a lake. A little out of the way, but not really an issue. Actually had more amenities than expected. Used the pontoon boat, nice run around several small lakes. Nice decks, screened-in room was very nice.
Had a lot of fun with our adult children and grand baby! Owners were easy to contact and very helpful with the pontoon boat. Highly recommend using the pontoon boat to explore the lake! A little hard to find, but the location was great and quiet. Had a great time!
This house was exactly as advertised, and more. If anything, the listing understold the scenic beauty the lake provided. It fulfilled our needs, and was the site of many memories my friends and I will cherish forevermore.
We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, and taking the boat out on the lake. The location made it effortless to relax and spend time with family. The home is beautifully furnished and accommodated all 3 of our families comfortably. We really enjoyed the upper and lower decks and screened in porch in the evenings. The owners were extremely welcoming and allowed our dogs to stay too. Great experience and will be back!
The property is on a small lake that leads into two other lakes. Great for fishermen! Property had a large firepit near the water, great for watching sunsets. House is very comfortable and had everything we needed to have a good time. we would recommend this house for a family or large group. We only had 4 in our group and loved having all the extra space!
Terrific place--roomy, well and thoughtfully equipped, lovely views.
If members of your party can't handle stairs, this is not the place for you, because there are lots of them and they're unavoidable. You have to get out into the middle of the lake to swim--very weedy and mucky around the edges. But other than that, you couldn't hope for a more comfortable and relaxing place for some lake time.
Our family had a wonderful time at the lake house. We enjoyed the pontoon and kayaks. The house is spacious and has very comfortable beds. One day we visited the antique shops in Allen. Our only disappointment was not catching any fish after several days of fishing. It was nice meeting our hosts who were available if we needed anything but did not hover. We would definitely recommend this house for a fun vacation place.
Property is in a good location. Lake was so mossy we couldn’t use any of the canoes, rafts provided (not owners fault at all). Place was just really dirty- needed swept and mopped badly.
We loved the home! It was clean, very beautiful! It was a little hard to find, the sign for the road is a little homemade sign and very hard to see and read. But one way in and one way out for the driveway. Hard to get boat in and out, it does cost $6 to launch your boat at Turner Lake-which was hard to find since the sign was gone for Turner Lake.
Beautiful property and home with use of kayaks, row boat, paddle boards and pontoon (for a fee). Full kitchen with pots, pans, cutting boards, random spices, silverware, etc. Linens provided, too. Just bring your fishing poles and bait! We brought our life jackets, but they do have available, too. We will stay again! Great way to unplug for a few days from a hectic summer schedule and relax before getting ready for the chaos of school. Rhonda was responsive and available when needed. Thanks for a nice few days away.
