Lovely pub/hotel from the outside despite being on a busy main road, which we couldn’t hear from our bedroom. Food was good in the pub and staff were friendly and attentive. Bathroom is in need of an update or refresh in comparison to the bedroom itself. The room felt cramped with lots of furniture and refreshments (both for free and to buy). Lack of plug sockets. Overall pleasant, reliable stay

I have enjoyed staying at this establishment in the past, but unfortunately, it feels like it's going downhill with little effort being made to maintain the high standards it once had. During my recent stay, I encountered several issues that were quite disappointing: No remote control for the TV: This made it inconvenient to use the television. Carpet with signs of spillage: The carpet had numerous stains, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. Flickering light in the bathroom: This made using the bathroom quite challenging and uncomfortable. Showerhead and bar not fit for purpose: The shower setup was inadequate and difficult to use. Unprofessional repair work: A noticeable and poorly executed repair suggested that maintenance is being handled by someone inexperienced in DIY. Given these issues, I regret to say that I will not be returning.

We had a bad experience here caused by other guests: at one in the morning, a group of men were standing outside singing and swearing for ages. It woke me up and I couldn’t sleep afterwards. I phoned the desk and left a message on the answerphone but have not had a response. I told the breakfast waiter in the morning and he said he knew who they were, since they had behaved like that the night before as well and were outside when he left at 11.45. He says he had emailed their company and said it was totally unacceptable behaviour as all the other guests had complained. Would I stay here again- doubtful, as we do like to sleep when we go to a hotel! What a pity. The room was very clean and the young staff were most helpful.

The staff was absolutely lovely, but the photos didn’t ring true to actuality. The carpet was riddled with stains, the room smelled musty, the bathroom toilet lid had permanent scratches that made it feel dirty, the walls were marked with stains and scratches, the ceiling was damaged, and there were termites or flying ants inside near windows. Again, staff was so kind.

Our go-to hotel when flying from Heathrow

Our go-to hotel if we need somewhere to stay before a Heathrow flight. The staff are all very friendly, food is excellent (both dinner and breakfast), plentiful parking. We stayed in an executive room this time - we liked the extra space and would book this again. Last time we were there we were helping some friends who had suffered a tragedy that day, and I managed to knock over a large G&T. Even without knowing what we were dealing with, the lady behind the bar calmly cleared up the mess and sorted a fresh one - no charge and no judgement. We really appreciated her kindness.

Great place to stay

Second visit, great room, clean, good coffee in the room, parking on site. My only gripe on this visit is the mattress was awful, I could feel the springs through the mattress.
