"The property was clean throughout and some decorating had been done. Areas had been carpeted and they were getting ready for the start of the season. Staff were helpful and polite and dealt with anything we enquired about. There was a lovely sea view right across from the front of the Majestic. There was a bar and coffee lounge which were having the final touches put to them ready for the season to start.Our room was nicely decorated with all matching furniture.We were on room only basis and were pleased with it."

"Room was a little small and showing signs of ware and tare. Excellent breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, continental spread, hot food cooked to order and tasty. I did not try the lunch or dinner but I noticed a lack of vegetarian options. I also did not try the indoor pool or gym. I had afternoon tea there which was a bit pricey and underwhelming."

"Staff very kind helpful efficient wanted clean towels went down told re rption thrm returned directly to room ro find housekeeper with clean towels. Shame owners had let it get j to such a bad state. 1 lift only suitable for 1 1/2 persons only working lift in whole building for over a week no sign of maintenance being done."

"Ebor Lodge was great, I stayed for two nights with colleagues. Everything we needed, great host, rooms were great, breakfast bap was excellent. We requested a earlier breakfast on the Wednesday morning and this was accommodated."

"Lovely hotel, our room, although a little dated was a great size, large balcony, wonderful views. We had a full bathroom which was perfect and also plenty of tea, coffee and milk not like a lot of fancy hotels where you just get two milk cartons. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had a good selection."

"It was nothing more than ok. Very basic room which was very tight on space in the toilet and bathroom areas. Water in shower and sink was tepid at best which is really disappointing what you want a hot shower. Wouldn't choose to stay again based on this stay"

"Room was spacious clean and very comfortable with great sea views. Comfortable king bed and large bath. Property was charming and very elegant inside and beautifully decorated especially breakfast room. Decent meal first night and some live entertainment with piano. Staff all round really good and friendly and helpful. Would definitely return here for sure. Cheap parking for £2.50 a day through reception aswell and plenty of it around the hotel roads"

"Stunning property with excellent quality food and rooms. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the room and bed (standard double) were very small and hot. Couldnt kèep the window open thanks to the local boys racing up and down the seafront. We are not particularly big people but i can imagine that a larger couple would find the bed impossible to sleep in!"
