  • Villa Kalostous is a spacious, modern, and beautiful villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, offering accommodation for up to 4 guests. It covers an area of 80 square meters and is located in close proximity to the villages of Mesi and Agia Triada in the Rethymno area. Situated on top of a hill amidst olive groves and other plantations, the villa boasts uninterrupted and expansive views of the mountains, meadows, and the sea. It provides a haven of serenity and relaxation, far from the noise and traffic, while still being just a short walk away from a local traditional tavern and a picturesque village.



    The villa features two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Additionally, one of the sofas can be converted into a bed, suitable for a child. There are two modern bathrooms, one with a bathtub ensuite and another with a shower and WC adjacent to the second bedroom. The open-plan modern kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and utensils, seamlessly connected to the spacious living room with sophisticated decor.



    Ample surrounding space is available for hours of relaxation on the loungers in front of the large pool or beneath the shade of the fully furnished, cozy patio/veranda. The villa also offers a barbecue area and plenty of parking spaces. The entire property is air-conditioned and equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, a washing machine, microwave, cooker, iron, fridge, and more.



    The area is perfect for scenic drives or leisurely walks, and the local beach is only 5.5 km away. The lively town of Rethymno, renowned for its day and nightlife, is just 9 km from the villa. In addition, within a short stroll, you'll find a local traditional tavern in the charming village of Mesi.

Amazing beautiful villa

Amazing villa 25 mins away from Rethymno and 12 mins into the mountains. Very quaint and quiet. Loved our stay!

Sehr schöne Villa

Gut ausgestattete Villa. Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden alle 3 Tage getauscht. Maria und ihr Team waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren vom ersten Augenblick begeistert und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig gelegen mitten in Olivenhainen in den Bergen und ca. 20 Autominuten von Rethymno entfernt. Die Beschreibung und Bilder der Unterkunft entsprechen genau den Gegebenheiten. Sehr gute Ausstattung und ein exzellenter Service, Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zweimal wöchentlich gewechselt und die Villa gereinigt. Der Pool wird wöchentlich mit einem Poolroboter gereinigt. Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt und die Annehmlichkeiten sehr und werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen. Vielen Dank an Maria und George für die schöne Zeit!

Tolle Villenanlage (4 Häuser) in absolut ruhiger Lage

Wir waren mit dem Aufenthalt in der Villa zufrieden und sehr positiv überrascht was die Sauberkeit und den Service (Reinigung, Wechsel Handtücher und Bettwäsche) betrifft.Die Ausstattung der Villa ist sehr gut und auch der Außen- & Poolbereich überzeugt. Einzig die Hellhörigkeit in den Schlafzimmern und die Poolpumpe morgens um 6 Uhr fanden wir etwas schade.Die Küche und die Bäder, sowie der Außenbereich waren für uns die Highlights. Morgens zum Frühstück die ersten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages genießen und dabei entspannt in die Olivenhaine blicken, so startet man doch gerne in den Tag. Wir werden beim nächsten Kreta-Urlaub wieder versuchen eine der Villen zu buchen!Besten Dank und viele Grüße

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist hervorragend ausgestattet und liegt in einer ruhigen, ländlichen Gegend – perfekt zum Entspannen. Ein Auto ist allerdings unbedingt nötig, um die Umgebung zu erkunden.Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war ausgezeichnet. Auf unsere Anfragen wurde stets sehr schnell reagiert, sogar spät am Abend – das haben wir wirklich geschätzt.Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Der Pool war leider recht kalt, was das Schwimmen etwas weniger angenehm machte.Insgesamt hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit und können das Haus absolut empfehlen.

très bon séjour

très bon séjour, nous sommes arrivés très tard, les clés étaient sur la porte. La maison et la piscine étaient un peu froides mais c'est normal à cette saison. la maison est parfaite, fidèle à la description. La communication est excellente.

Eine sehr schönes Haus mit allem,was man braucht.Sehr gute Ausstattung.Es kam alle 2-3 Tage jemand vorbei für Bettwäschewechsel und Poolsäuberung,obwohl dies nicht immer nötig gewesen wäre.

DREAMY VILLA in AGIA TRIADA

We had a very enjoyable stay at this villa. At arrival, the key awaited us and we got settled. Everything was in order and as expected. The villa was clean and very comfortable. The next day a very sweet young woman, Mary, stopped to welcome us and provide fresh towels and sheets. At that time I told her that I preferred to make my own bed. Otherwise, Mary would see if we needed anything every few days, would put the pool robot in the pool, take away our empty recyclables and trash and leave more fresh towels and sheets. Mary also gave us recommendations for restaurants and other things. We greatly enjoyed her visits. The owner, George, was quite nice and, because of an internet connectivity issue, he even arranged to get us our own direct network connection which really helped quite a lot. After a few days, we were really settled and, unfortunately, both of us had to work quite a lot. It felt like home to us and we would see George and Mary every few days and they made certain everything was alright with us, which was very nice. One thing we found strange (and I am not being critical) is that the shower had no shower curtain which made the bathroom floor quite wet and slippery, kind of dangerous. We both slipped on sprayed water from the shower as the floor is tiled. It would be an easy fix, one that would make a big difference, but not an issue. No cleaning supplies and laundry detergent provided so, if staying for more than a week, I recommend buying them. The washer was quite convenient. The TV worked quite well, once we figured out how it worked, We really liked the shutters, which kept the villa relatively cool so we did not have to run the air conditioning all the time. Mostly, we loved the pool and patio, which were really luxurious with an amazing view (and a glimpse of the Sea of Crete). Mornings, I would take long walks among the other villas, older buildings, tumbledown structures with trees growing inside them, kind of charming. The surrounding olive groves are so beautiful and the area is quite remote and peaceful. The ride up the steep hill is an experience with very narrow roads.. Nights, the villa grounds are beautifully. We really loved Kalostous Villa 2, it was beautiful and remote, very peaceful and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful, quiet and more remote stay in a comfy place that feels like home. Mary and George are both wonderful people and we always enjoyed seeing them.

Un excellent séjour au grand calme.

La propriété était conforme à ce qui avait été décrit sur le site informatique. Elle avait tout le confort nécessaire avec un très bon service. Je cherchais un endroit isolé (pour un repos nécessaire) et situé dans un paysage sauvage et c'est ce que j'ai trouvé. L'endroit a l'avantage d'être proche de la mer où il fut facile de trouver des plages peu fréquentées. Il n'est guère envahi par le tourisme, mais se situe pourtant non loin de Réthymnon (pour ceux qui aiment la forte fréquentation touristique). Il se situe aussi non loin d'un petit village (Mesi) qui possède heureusement une taverne-restaurant. Un petit inconvénient cependant: un séjour en cet endroit nécessite la location d'une voiture, vu son isolement et il n'est pas tout-à-fait facile de le trouver surtout si l'on arrive le soir, malgré les instructions détaillées données par l'agence (un programme informatique de guidage est quasi nécessaire pour l'atteindre et circuler dans les environs les jours suivants). Les villas Kalostous semblent de construction récente et même certains habitants du village de Mesi ignorent leur existence.

Countryside Retreat

Wow! What can I say but we loved staying here. If you want to get away from the touristy stuff and experience Crete as it is...rustic, Mountain views, smell of wild sage, rosemary ,lavender, hear the tinker of the goats/ sheep bells on the hills and meet the lovely local people. Then stay here! A car is a must if you want to explore Minoan Palaces, Monasteries and the south coast beaches. All about 30 mins - 2 hours away depending on how many stops you take to consume the views or dips in the ocean. Every turn is different! Stop at a Taverna away from the tourist spots to taste the local food. Cretan's largest meal is lunch so go lite when you order because the portions are large and meant to be shared. We found two appetisers, salad and a two mains was more than enough for us. The grilled fish (Dorado) is lovely served with garlic, olive oil and herbs. I had this every day except the inland valley taverna that served only meat; but I was well full on the veggie dishes which are sooooo good straight from their gardens! My Husband loved the BBQd lamb. Each Taverna has a different spin on the same dish especially between the regions of Chania, Rethimnon (Rethymno) and Iraklion ( Iraklio). We ate during the day and at night stayed by pool and had a lite dinner. The Pool is amazing and cooled us off in the evening after a day of exploring. The owner and staff are very friendly. Thank you Marie for telling us about the beaches. We enjoyed snorkelling at Souda cove (south coast Rythimnon). The only thing we regret is not booking a 2nd week. We will be back! Well equipped, but not perfect.

Number 2 Kalostous Villas is a very well equipped villa and very well looked after by the hands on managers George and Maria. Lovely pool and view and everything that you could want in the kitchen. The mattresses on the beds are rock hard and if you have any back issues it could be a problem. The one big problem that no one can change is that the bedroom wall adjoining number 1's bedroom is not sound proof and appears to just be of hollow stud construction. Conversation in number 1's bedroom could be clearly heard.

Superbe endroit, calme et confort assuré!

La maison est très belle, fonctionnelle, design, bien équipée. La piscine est très agréable. La vue sur les champs d'oliviers est reposante et l'absence de bruit très appréciable. Le gérant est aux petits soins. En un mot: parfait! Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour d'une semaine.
