"The Posada de San José is deep into Old Town, quite remote, but reachable from the train station via the L10/L1 bus lines. Pack snacks if you get hungry between 4 and 8; there's no nearby McDonald's. When it opens, the on-site restaurant has great food; you shouldn't miss out. The place is very rustic and has great canyon views. Some head ducking might be required on the premises and in your room. The bathroom is old, but functional. Showering (fully curtained) is possible without making a EU puddle on the floor. The bed was quite comfortable."

"There was a problem when I arrived and they said the garage was full but I showed them my confirmation of garage reservation and eventually they agreed that I could park my motorcycle in the garage as agreed in writing 2 months earlier when I booked. The hotel should make sure that they sort this problem out as the reception said it happened many times to other people…."

The location could not be better. It is literally a 2-minute walk from the cathedral and within walking distance of everything. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. And then there is Ana… ❤️ She deserves a review of her own. She is one of those rare people who makes you feel genuinely cared for and welcomed. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, attentive, and warm, and she went above and beyond to make our stay special. Of course, hosting is a business, and at the end of the day, that is how most people see it. But with Ana, you can truly feel that it goes beyond business. She genuinely cares about her guests, about making them comfortable, happy, and at home. She made us feel welcomed, embraced, and truly looked after. Her kindness made an already wonderful stay even more memorable. Everything in the house reflects the same level of care and quality. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and the towels and other amenities are excellent quality. Every detail feels intentional. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. If you are considering staying here, book it—you will not regret it!"
