A wonderful stay at Hotel Ribe

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ribe. The hotel and room were comfortable and charming. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The owner, sons and staff were all very pleasant and happy to help with whatever we needed. I hope we get a chance to return to Ribe and stay at this lovely hotel.

A small, characterful hotel in the centre of town. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was good but lacked storage. Food was great, although portions were huge. A short walk took you to the town's many attractions. Highly recommended.

Locked out of hotel on cold night.

I phoned the hotel at 14:30 on my day of arrival, as I would not be arriving until shortly after 20:00. I was told that the keys would be left in a locked box, and I was given the code. When I got to the hotel, although I could open the box, the keys were not there. Another couple who were staying there said the same had happened to them and gave me the contact telephone number. When I called, it was a prerecorded message in Danish, but no one answered. I was locked out of the hotel with no idea what to do. Thankfully, there was a lady down the road who knew the owner's phone number. She called her, and it was arranged that someone would bring the key. Had I not approached this very kind lady, I would not have had anywhere to stay. I have not received any apology. The hotel has a strange smell in the public areas. Although there is a pub attached, which is also the 'reception' for the hotel, it closes at 15:00, meaning no staff are available after that time if anything goes wrong. You can't leave your luggage at the hotel if you want to pick it up after 15:00, as there's nobody there. The breakfast is poor. There is a cold buffet and eggs and bacon kept warm on a single plate over a candle.

Atmosfære og skæve vinkler i top !

Hotel Ribe er ikke super moderne og med alverdens bekvemmeligheder. Men helt sikkert et ophold værd 💪 Vi havde booket et familieværelse med plads til 4. Toilet og bad på gangen. Vi skulle have en seng at sove i, let tilgængelig og centralt i Ribe. Vi valgte Hotel Ribe. Og det fortryder vi ikke. Skæve mål og gammel bygning hvor alt er som det nu er i Ribe. Bornhomeruret er sta i vatter med ølbrikker, døren er skæv og gulvet bugter sig. Men der er atmosfære og hjertevarme. Et sted, der drives med hjertet og sjælen lever i væggene og malerierne på væggene. Så er man til historie og fortidens enkeltheder, så booker du dig ind på Hotel Ribe. Vi vil helt sikkert gøre det igen, hvis vi har brug for overnatning i Ribe og omegn.

Jeg syntes det var et meget gammel hotel, der havde lugt gener når man trådte ind, Badeværelset var bruse kabine ikke så lækkert 5 min inden man fik varmt vand

Rigtig god service og et rent værelse og toilet. God seng. Dog er hotellet sf ældre årgang, men det ligger 2 min. gang fra Ribe centrum. Alt i slt et godt sted at være.

Lever slet ikke op til forventningerne

Desvære levede det ikke op til forventningerne. Hotellet er meget slidt. Der er mangel på varmt vand. Dette afhjælper man med at tape et skilt op, der foreslår at den første badende er tålmodig og venter op til 4 minutter på varmt vand. Dette varme vand kom aldrig rigtig. Til info, så hjælper et skilt ikke.... det gør til gengældt en cirkulationspumpe. Badeværelset var noget skrabet, med en rusten bruseniche og et toiletbræt der ikke rigtig ville blive oppe. Hoveddøren til værelset kunne ikke lukke tæt. Man kunne se lys ude fra gangen når denne var lukket. Generelt virkede det ikke som om der, på nogen måde, blev kælet for stedet. Og når dette er sagt, så var det ikke et discount-hotel. Vi endte med at betale dkk 940 for et dobbeltværelse med morgenmad... Det halve ville have været mere rimeligt.

Rent og pænt. Havde bestilt værelse til tre, og blev temmelig overrasket over at få wc og bad på gangen. Det fremgik ikke tydeligt, og havde ikke bestilt det, hvis jeg havde vist det. Men hyggelig autentisk atmosfære og venlig betjening.

Ældre hotel med patina og begrænsninger

Hotellet er placeret i en ældre bygning med patina, men også med en række utidssvarende forhold som det tager op til 3 minutter før der er varmt vand i bruser, gulve knirker, dørene slutter ikke tæt osv. Vi havde forventet at krostuen var til rådighed for os (vi var 6 personer) om aftenen, men det var ikke muligt, så vi måtte sidde på værelser i stedet. Endvidere var morgenmadens udvalg og kvalitet under vores forventninger.

Ældre hotel med venligt personale.

Ældre hotel med atmosfære. Oplevede et venligt personale på et noget slidt hotel som kunne trænge til en kærlig hånd. Der var rent og noget lydt. Morgenmads buffeten var jævn. Der var hvad der skulle være. Aftensmaden var så som så. Manglede “gnist”. God beliggenhed i forhold til by midten.
