Wonderful

Reasonable price for an older hotel, that I think has done many updates in recent years to bring it to today's expectation. Although the walls and ceilings are thin enough to hear people above and next to us.
The only critique was the tea selections for a hot cup of tea (we like that instead of coffee). We managed to find 2 black tea bags that we'd need, but all the rest were "Chai Tea" - not what we wanted. At least we were able to have our tea, but if any tea-drinkers followed us, they'd be out of luck.
Fire alarm kept going off during the night and there was only one staff member working the desk.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The air conditioning was great, the beds were very comfortable, the pool and pool chairs were fabulous. Only downside is the breakfast is mediocre, and the noise/rooms are very loud if anyone is around you. It sounded like people were bowling. Very safe area, Mexican restaurant next door is okay. We would stay there again for the value.
Hotel was very nice. All the staff was very helpful. The only downfall was the breakfast. Some of the pastry and bread items were dry. The sausage was not cooked very well. I would of given the breakfast a 3 out of 10.

We arrived and there was no receptionist. So I grabbed the lobby phone and called and she finally came out. I said oh that was me calling because no one was here. And instead of a friendly greeting or an “I’m sorry” I basically got a “yeah?”
We proceeded to the elevators and one opened half way and was beeping constantly. We weren’t sure if it was working or if we could take the luggage carrier on it. So we asked her and she came and rode on it and said it’s fine. It still seemed sketchy. She was very rude and my wife asked who the manager on duty was and she said she was. My wife had looked at the sign by the front door desk that said “George” was the front manager. So my wife said “so your name is George?” She said no it’s not hun. Her customer service just plain sucked and she needs to consider a new career. As far as the hotel goes, the curtains don’t close and it’s bright on there from the parking lot lights.
Other than that, it’s an okay hotel.
this day was amazing. My son was there for Soccer and they made it so comfortable and amazing. It was great. He loves the college and he loves staying there.
Very nice place, only thing I can say that’s negative, is they didn’t have just regular black tea on the breakfast buffet, only spiced tea bags. I don’t drink coffee, sooo with no tea with caffeine really put a damper on my morning wake up mood…..met a couple more people in the dining room wanting just regular black tea without all that fancy additives, when I asked the front desk they said they just buy whatever from Walmart and till it’s gone they won’t purchase anymore….hello doesn’t that tell you something, people like the simple black tea! Other than that we will stay there again….
The hotel was convenient to our travel route. However, it was very warm and humid in the hallways. The room was somewhat warm but so humid that the carpet felt damp. The bathroom faucet was terrible to operate. The breakfast was almost not edible. The toast was good but the eggs tasted terrible - must have been the powdered eggs. Outside the hotel, the fence was broken down and there was a lot of trash in the grass.
It was clean, quiet. We arrived late and checked us right in. The breakfast was disappointing. We have stayed here so many times on our way to the beach.
The room was clean, but the property felt a bit dirty. The lobby bathroom was very dirty and floor was grundgy. When we checked in, the front lady was talking on the phone and didn't end her call while we checked in. I felt it was rude to have a personal conversation while checking in guests. Also, during breakfast, the food items were low and there was no coffee. I had to know on the door, and the employee working was on her phone having a personal conversation. I told her that there was no coffee, and then proceeded to bring more coffee and refill empty trays. She remained on the phone. She should not be having personal conversations while items needed to refilled and coffee was empty. I felt the phones are a huge distraction from employees doing their job. Maybe a conversation needs to be had with employees? The hotel was way overpriced for the quality of service and property.
Poorly maintained hotel. The room I was placed in was dirty with visible white stains and crackers all over the carpet. Sheets to the bed were stained with dark stain that looked like dried blood. I was moved rooms but the entire situation was alarming.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room smelled musty, like carpet that needed cleaned and like a pet had an accident . The outer pane of the window was broken out. The beds were not as comfortable as in the past. The property is due for a remodel.
Clean room in a safe neighborhood. The building is well-built to the point that you couldn't hear other guests above or below you, which lends itself to a great night's sleep. While there was nothing remarkable about the room and beds, but the one "wow great use of space" differentiator was the bathroom had little slide out shelves which were perfect to keep everyone's stuff organized and making use of any available space. The one downside is there weren't a whole of dining options in the area, but not a deal breaker just a heads-up.
