Room was clean and great size. Staff was kind and very helpful. The breakfast left something to be desired, but it was decent for what it was. Ample and easy parking directly behind the hotel.
The entrance is not as attractive as most Holiday Inn Expresses I have seen. But once you get inside everything is up to high standards. The breakfast was nicely laid out and dining area was very roomy and nice.
Able to check in early. Good fresh hot coffee available at any hour. Good snack and beverage selection in pantry. Nice selection available for complimentary breakfast.
Staff was exceptional, professional & sincere. Room accommodations were comfortable. Cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom, needs improvement. Hair from previous visitors should not be something present throughout the bathroom floors.
The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was convenient, but felt a little uncomfortable.
Breakfast was fine and it was nice having coffee available 24/7 in the lobby.
Very pleased with our stay. The room on the 7th floor was very clean and smelled fresh, and because of that we had a very good night rest. Many things to do near the hotel, including Barnes & Noble and a very good gelato place within a couple of miles away. Staff were very friendly, and we had a very reasonable breakfast before our trek back to the DC area. There is a nominal charge for parking overnight which is somewhat the norm these days.
The location is quite convenient to VMFA. Also there is the Crossroad Gallery on the same block with a lot of artwork to look at and appreciate.
The room does not equip with tea kettle so you cannot enjoy a cup of tea of coffee at your leisure. Other than that the room is spacious with two queen sized beds.
This hotel is essentially in a strip mall parking lot fairly cross to the Willow Lawn area of Richmond which was ideal for us. Because of this it had odd parking around it which appeared to be shared by the strip mall. However we were asked to pay $7 a day to park which I found very odd. The only designated parking was for their diamond members. The outside of the hotel wasn’t in the best shape but the interior made up for it. They have a great lounge area with multiple TV screens, pool table, etc where you could relax. We never took advantage of breakfast as we were visiting local family but it was what you’d typically see in a hotel breakfast and always smelled good.
The staff were professional & warm. We needed to extend our visit due to a loved one being seen at VCU Medical Center. They were accommodating without giving us any problems. Location is great. About 10 min from VCU Medical Center, a very nice shopping center across the street with a Kroger Grocery Store & several restaurants. There is even an Exxon right across the street!
The HIE was a great experience! Everything was clean and very nice. The bed was super comfortable. I liked that there was no carpet on the floors - you could see how clean they were.
My new stopover location in Richmond. Great breakfast, very clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent location and value. Looking forward to staying there again!!
Don't get me wrong....the staff was wonderful, clean room and convenient location....but paper thin walls and struggles with heating and air conditioning. The breakfast was "pretty good".

Swimming pool is closed. Doubt it gets open anytime soon. They have a game room with a small "pool" table. You will be charged additional to park in their litter filled parking lot. I wouldn't care how dirty a Richmond Hotel parking lot is if I didn't have to pay extra to park in it.
The interior of hotel was very clean. Great food places around hotel. A Kroger is 2 blocks away as well. Everything you need is close.
Room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very courteous. The full breakfast was delicious.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
The breakfast was excellent; however, the noise level was loud during the day because of remodeling being done. The check-in person was not helpful. Parking was excellent.
Room and facilites were clean and the staff was great - helpful and efficient. Unfortunately some of the breakfast stations were not available which was disappointing. It was ridiculous to be charged for parking when the parking was in a general shopping center parking lot. If they really want to make $7 extra they should just make the room rate higher, that was just annoying.
