It is a dog and child friendly pub with a large garden area with a childrens bouncy castle, so if you like dogs and children this is the place for you. The Menu was a little restricted to typical pub grub. Prices for wine and beer were on the high side. If you want to eat a meal without being disturbed by hoard of children going to the toilet then avoid the garden room dining area.

Very cute room, lots of character. We got in late and left early. The only thing I would improve is to have a fan or something in the room with the twin beds for air movement. We stayed in room #4 that had a larger room with a queen bed plus an attached smaller room with 2 twin beds. The room with the twin beds had no windows that could open so it was stuffy (our stay was in July).

Good size room, although steep steps up to it, so especially difficult with luggage. Also steps up to the bathroom. Lovely warm welcome from the staff and very helpful when asked about local amenities and transport. Bar can get busy especially on weekend nights. Food and drink both excellent with a full and reasonably priced menu to choose from. Car park close to the pub can get busy, but was always able to find a place when required.

Shower plinth hanging off. Radiator loose in bathroom, radiator very very hot. Cupboard in bathroom and mirror on wall in bedroom , too high to look in. . Felt whole place needed updating as very old,

Ideal position for our day at CATTERICK Races. However food was not good value for money, you couldn’t fill the room kettle up and the window blinds did not stop light coming in from the outside wall lights. No toilet holder!

Hicimos noche de camino a Edimburgo. La habitación era espaciosa, cómoda y limpia. El alojamiento era una casa antigua pero reformada y con encanto. El personal muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo. No teníamos adaptador de corriente y nos prestaron uno. La comida era buena y tenian una bonita terraza para tomar cerveza

Lovely place perfect for Catterick races

Staff super helpful and lovely atmosphere had evening meal which was beautifully presented and fasted delicious sea bass £17.95 can't go wrong.

Lovely place, twin room was spacious and en-suite shower room very nice. My only issue was as the room was lovely and warm, I needed to open the window which allowed the noise from the busy road outside to disturb me, this is my issue as being too warm bothers me, no fault at all of the establishment, the doubling glazing prevented all noise, just a warning to others if room on the front. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay otherwise and would happily recommend to others

enjoyable stay

the pub is very popular & friendly serving a good a varied menu, we had both lunch & dinner there, the staff are very friendly & helpful . our room was pleasingly decorated clean & comfortable with plenty of storage. only draw back was the shower could do with having a equalizing pressure valve & the macerator was noisy during the night. & please note there is no breakfast served .

Really nice place with easy access to Croft Circuit. Room was clean, spacious and well designed. Quality bar/restuarant - which pay for. Note there is no breakfast service and Sunday dinner service finishes 5pm - there are no alternatives in this village, so you need to plan for that. Overall, happy to stay there again if I go to Croft again!

Famiky catch up.

Fantastic public house which serves great food. There is not much to do in the surrounding Area but its a great place to meet up with friends or family and dine together. Rooms are failrly reasonably priced and clean. Shame there isnt an option for breakfast.
