Clean room but without house keeping throughout my one week's stay. Breakfast was fantastic and varied. Property was very clean though busy with loads and loads of guests. Amanda was very helpful to me. Location was a few minutes walk to the tram going to Christ the Redeemer Statue. Local transport bus station was also nearby. Overall great value for money. Kudos to the staff.

Amazing location and wonderful breakfast. A gem away from the buzz and stress of the city that is also within walking distance from the Cosme Velho station heading to Christ the redeemer. Check-in was extremely slow - it took us more than one hour to get our room - but I guess it was due to the high season situation. I would definitely stay here again! Totally recommend it.

The building itself is a very interesting piece of historic architecture that has been modernized to house this hotel/hostel-complex. I especially loved the breakfast buffet, close to the pool area which invites you to chill during the day but you can also get some remote-work done in the quiet areas with excellent wifi. Last nut not least, the staff is very welcoming and helpful! It's been an absolute pleasure! Muito obrigado!

This is a beautiful restored hostel, but as the same with hostel average cleanliness is not a priority even if you are in a private room. Specialy my room had a vintage door not sealing the frame, allowing all kind of mosquitoes get in to the room, not a pleasant night!

Love the place, don’t love the lack of cleaning

I extended my stay because I really like the breakfast and the location is beautiful. But maintenance and cleaning is bad. We need to go to the reception to ask if someone can empty the toilet bins or for new toilet paper. They didn't properly clean the room since at least Tuesday. One of the locks of the shower is broken so people smash the door to close it, which is quit annoying when you’re trying to sleep or still asleep. But the shower with a functioning lock has low water pressure due of the built up chalk in the shower head. So.. The airconditioning is not clean so I've caught a cold (nasal congestion and a sore throat) after the first night. Really wished there was a possibility to open a window with all the deodrant and other spray products my roommates use.

Un lugar amplio, tranquilo y bonito, pero con una higiene deplorable, no te cambian ni te dan diariamente sábanas, los baños muy sucios, en el tiempo que estuve ahí no se veía limpieza, habia un pelo pegado en la pared de la regadera de un metro desde que llegué, que a mi salida, seguía ahí, hay telarañas en el techo, te dan una sábana a tu llegada y un "cobertor" con cobertura (que huele mal), me percate de que no habían hecho la limpieza ya que al mover el colchón cayó un frasco con polvo color blanco vacío y basura de dulces, el personal de cafetería y bar muy groseros, pedí comida a las 20 (cerraban a las 21) y me dijeron que ya no me podían atender. No hay contenedores de basura en los lugares principales, encontré unos en la parte trasera y ahí depositaba mi basura. La chica de recepción que me atendió a mi llegada fue amable, al salir el chico también fue amable y el checkout fue muy rápido, los demás parece que disfrutan burlarse de los extranjeros (principalmente de los que no hablan portugués). Tiene excelente ubicación, me pude transporta a muchos lados ya que está a 3 minutos de la terminal Cosme Velho (autobuses), también está a 10 minutos caminando de la estación de Trem do Corcovado (te lleva al monumento Cristo Redentor) lo malo es que está lejos del aeropuerto. En general sería un lugar mejor si cuidan el factor principal que es la higiene y atención al cliente, al tratarse de un hostel (entrada continua de personas) la limpieza debería ser el doble.

Lugar incrível, tirando os mosquitos...

No geral a experiência foi muito boa. Atendimento incrível, acomodação boa, café da manhã bom... A única coisa ruim foram os mosquitos. Acredito que o hotel deveria disponibilizar repelente, ou pelo menos avisar no momento do check-in sobre a quantidade de mosquitos para quem tem alergia. Tive dezenas de picadas e isso atacou uma alergia que fizeram meus pés ficarem inchados e com muita dor.

Borrachudos e alergia

A hospedagem foi muito agradável. Fui para comemorar o dia dos namorados um pouquinho depois da data, eu e meu noivo aproveitamos muito, café da manhã agradável, com muitas opções. Nós ofereceram um checkout um pouco mais tardio, a equipe de atendimento muito prestativa, a comida é muito saborosa. O único ponto é que o hostel fica rodeado de uma floresta, foi a minha primeira vez no local, e eu acabei sendo picada 18 vezes por borrachudos... O problema é que eu descobri ser alérgica a picada do borrachudo e quando eu cheguei em São Paulo (voltamos de ônibus) eu já não andava mais, não tinha força na perna, foi uma semana inteira no hospital, a minha perna inchou demais. E quando se encerrou o medicamento tanto oral, como intravenoso que eu tomei todos os dias por 10 dias, eu comecei a ter uma reação alérgica que se instalou por todo o meu corpo, a razão ainda é incerteza, alguns acham que foi por conta da quantidade de medicamento no organismo, já o médico acredita que ainda seja por conta do veneno do inseto. Enfim, foi um final de semana muito bom, mas que me gerou 2 semanas indo em hospitais, é óbvio que a culpa não é do local de forma alguma, são coisas que acontecem, eu também não sabia que era alérgica. Mas acho que quando recebemos nosso comprovante de reserva, essa informação de que tem muito bichinhos no local seria válido, assim eu teria levado repelente, falha minha também não ter me atentado a isso. Mas fica como sugestão, talvez um destaque no Instagram alerta
