A very pleasant and quaint hotel. Very lovely.

For a 3-star hotel, this was an incredibly lovely place to stay. It is quaint hotel with a lovely garden and a gorgeous dining room looking out at the garden. The bed was quite stiff (not like firm which is desirable) and strangely short. My husband's feet had to dangle beyond the bed. It is quite difficult to find and there is no sign outside.

Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable.

This hotel is a proper find! A lovely, peaceful oasis, filled with a myriad of beautiful plants and trees. Everywhere you look are interesting objects and bric a brac, all collected by the owner. The breakfast was excellent - a good variety of offerings and scrambled eggs on request. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner, even though we turned up late. N.B. The only negative - no fault of the hotel - the address given on the Expedia site is wrong! It takes you to a private house about 12Km away!!

Het is een rustige en mooie accomodatie. Schoon en elke dag gepoetst. De dames zijn erg vriendelijk en welwillend. Wij zijn hier twee weken geweest. Ligt vrij centraal van verschillende bezienswaardigheden, wel met auto!

Wonderful retreat in a small city, invtiing beautiful garden with pool. Owner and young lady who manages the hotel part are very nice. Good breakfast! Love it!

For something impressively different

Stayed here for one night during a recent dog show and was really impressed. So many times you go to a hotel that is so much like the last one that you could not describe anything about it that stood out. With this hotel, EVERYTHING stood out. It was packed with imaginative nick-knacks, curiosities and antiques that made you want to explore more. The room was large and comfortable and an extra oil heater made it cosy even for my cold bones. The bed was great and the breakfast was superb - everything that you could eat was fresh and delicious. I would definitely stay here again - so much nicer, more homely and cosy than other places I have stayed in Portugal

Old world charm, very clean with great staff.

They allowed our three dogs and did not even charge for having the dogs. Lovely garden, very rustic and great dinning area for breakfast.
