"We had a seaview deluxe room, with a balcony, which was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food and drink. We enjoyed an evening meal in the Guldak restaurant twice as the menu was interesting and catered well for vegetarians. The restaurant has great views to the beach and sea. Underground parking was 8 euros per day. Hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the area or just relaxing by the sea."

"Hotel Am Fjord is a wonderful oasis in Flensburg. Convenient to the city and several restaurants in short walking distance from the hotel. I recommend the gin and tonic with Gin Mare at the bar!"

"Overall the stay was pleasant, the one staff member we seen was very helpful and friendly the entire stay. Hotel was very basic and showing signs of its age. But having said that for a budget hotel all good would stay there again."

"The room and the view were stunning and so enjoyable ! The Spa is nice , but quite overpriced. Independently owned . Would love to see it owned by the hotel, so you could use the pool without added cost. The pool room though was so steaming hot that my breathing could not tolerate it."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was ideal to get to the Fussgänger street for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The room was very comfortable."

"Do not be put off when you pull into the rear carpark. This hotel is a gem with clean rooms, a good breakfast and a corner whirlpool bath to die for. Be aware if you are in the upstairs room in the main building the stairs extremely steep. But the room is worth it."
Sunday Hotel des Nordens

"Comfortable overnight stop. Great to swim in the outdoor pool after a long day travelling. Rooms very clean, large and comfortable, if slightly dated. Only marked down as food in bar very chip based."
