Finding the B&B

They gave the wrong address so it was hard to find. There is no signage for it. The traffic noise was so loud I hardly slept.

Praktisch logeeradres vlakbij Coloseum

Mooi historisch pand. Centrale ligging, veel eetgelegenheden en bus-metro in de buurt. Jammer dat er geen ontbijt bij deze BnB zit. Zou score verhogen. Overzichtskaart haltes en bezienswaardigheden aan te bevelen.

Location was amazing!

The room was ok. When you book the room, do not forget to mention what you need during your stay (towels, a/c, breakfast) as you need to pay extra. If you forget, you will need to wait until next day during reception time. The location was excellent, everything is nearby within walking distance. Room were a bit noisy if you open the window as it is a restaurant nearby. (Room no.1). Room no3 is at the back of the street but it is close to pantry.

Sono stata a Roma per un intervento agli occhi al San Giovanni Addolorata. Ho scelto questa struttura per la posizione,vicino all'ospedale e alla fermata della metro. Sono rimasta soddisfatta della camera,piccola ( eravamo in tre) ma carina e pulita e con il lavabo in camera mentre la doccia e il wc erano in uno spazio a parte. C'era un po' di confusione la notte perché le finestre affacciavano su piazza San Giovanni ma c'erano anche molte osterie e ristoranti. Gentilissima la proprietaria e molto disponibile . Sicuramente ci tornerò .

5 dager på B&B Basilica Square, Roma

Hyggelig dame i resepsjonen, viste oss rom og kjøkken. God i engelsk. Ok rom,trådløs Wi-fi og gode senger. Vendte ut mot gate med 11filer og trafikklys.Ekstremt mye lyd fra bremsende og oppstartende biler hele døgnet,åpent vindu var svært ubehagelig. Med 30++ i Roma, og ingen aircondition, ble det et varmt opphold. Mange kalde dusjer for å kjøle seg, men ettersom gulvet ble fullt av vann ved dusjing ble det også problematisk. Håndklærne måtte brukes til å tørke opp på gulvet.De ble ikke skiftet før det var gått 3 dager. De to siste dagene fikk vi nye håndklær. Rommet ble vasket og sengen redd opp hver dag. God hjelp i resepsjonen på spørsmål om Roma. Kjøkkenet:lite og dystert,fristet ikke til bruk.

Аривидерчи, Рома!

Останавливались на 3 дня, апартаменты скромные, но есть все необходимое для проживания. Чистый номер, после ремонта,на кухне есть даже посудомоечная машина, которой мы не пользовались. Единственное неудобство- окно выходило на шумную улицу. Спасибо Сильване за проявленное внимание и помощь в некоторых вопросах.

Accogliente e abbastanza pulito. Le stanze sono carine e la vista in piazza è bellissima. Peccato che non solo non hanno preparato la colazione, ma non hanno neanche provveduto a dare un buono da spendere in un bar per la prima colazione!!!!!

Naja...

Nicht einfach zu finden. Musste 20 Minuten auf der Mitarbeiter warten. Der hat keine lust gehabt, und sprach kein fast englisch. Aber genug um mich um sofortige Bezahlung zu fragen. Keine tips, keine Rundgang, kein gar nichts. Klimaanlage im zimmer war echt toll aber bissi laut und tropfte standig auf ein hingelegte Handtuch die ich wechseln durfte bzw musste um geräuch zu minimieren. Wusste erst am 3. Tag um kleine küche. Meine Toilette war im Flur (was ich wusste) aber es war auf der andere Seite der Flur. Bei alles und jedem vorbei durfte ich laufen. Der Toilette war ein Katastrophe. Haare überall. Wirklich überall. War sicherlich nicht professionell geputzt sondern von Mitarbeiter. Nov Bueno!! Haupteingang war manchmal sehr schwer auf zumachen. Fernseh nur auf italienisch. Zum schlafen und weg reicht es irgendwie aus. Vielleicht besser mit Toilette im zimmer.

Should have read more reviews

This is not a B&B in the sense that most Americans, Canadians, or Brits/Irish, etc, would think that it is. They rent out converted apartments. The location of the B&B is NOT the same as where they rent the places, although I imagine that they are all relatively close. Not knowing this, it certainly caused me some confusion and disappointment. In addition, there is no real "B&B", but rather, just a building, up some stairs, and with a sign on an apartment door. You have to call the person ahead of time to let them know that you'll be dropping by. I had to wait over 20 minutes for them to show up, and tell me to take my things around the corner, etc. While the place I ended up was nice and clean, if I had known this before, I would not have decided to stay here, as I wanted to stay at a more traditional B&B. There was no breakfast, also. Basically, go in knowing this information and you'll probably be fine.

Perfekt beliggenhed

Det var et udmærket værelse. Da det er et billigt "hotel" kan vi ikke forlange den store luksus, men vi skulle også kun sove der, så det var OK. Rengøringen var i top. Beliggenheden var i top, da der ikke var langt til den nærmeste metro. Der var selvfølgelig larm fra gaden, men kan jo ikke forvente andet, når det ligger ud til en stor gade.

Skøn beliggenhed

Rigtig fint, der var ingen i receptionen da vi ankom, man skulle ringe til et italiensk nummer, men straks derefter dukkede en receptionist op. Super beliggenhed 1 km. fra Colosseum og gode kaffebarer nedenunder.

Cheap but smells

The staff were very friendly. I had booked a room without an internal bathroom but they upgraded me to a room with an internal bathroom for free. Unfortunately the room smelled like stale body odour for the whole three days that I was present, despite me trying to blast it out with open windows and/or (quite good) airconditioning. There is a common area with crockery, cutlery and a small fridge which you can use so that is a positive. Also, only 20 mins walk to Roma Termini. Overall the building/ accommodation is a bit shabby-looking but I suppose that is to be expected at cheap prices.

Precis vad vi behövde!

Vi hade en fantastiskt romantisk och givande helg. Bra läge, mysigt rum, bra belysning, bra service. Enda minus var att det var lyhört mellan rummen (men det brydde vi oss inte om).

Gångavstånd till colosseum, och då alltså hela centrala Rom vilket är perfekt om man vill hinna med mycket under sin vistelse i staden. Rummen var enkla, men med ett bra och fräscht badrum. Egen nyckel till rummet och hela huset, vilket gav en enorm frihet. LIte knapphändig service om man checkar in efter klockan 16 då man måste ringa och ha sig, knöligt. Framförallt när inte hela personalen kan engelska... God frukost som ingick på en bar i närheten.

Zentrallage tolle Anschlussmöglichkeiten Bus/Metro

Die Unterkunft und die Sauberkeit des Zimmers liegt im Standardbereich. Aufgrund von schalldichten Fenstern der Unterkunft wurden wir vom naheliegenden Verkehr nicht gestört. Durch die zentrale Lage konnten alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten entspannt wahrgenommen werden. Der Aufenthalt war großartig. (Empfehlenswert)

Positivt overrasket

Værelset var rigtig fint, og der var aircondition, hvilket er meget vigtigt i august, der temperaturen gerne rammer 35-37 grader. Vi blev positivt overraskede over værelsets standard, da det var forholdsvist billigt. Sengen var fin, og vi havde eget badeværelse med bad. Der var i bund og grund kun to ting, som vi ikke har helt tilfredse med. Først og fremmest var der ingen i receptionen, da vi ankom, så vi blev nødt til at ringe efter dem. Det skal dog siges, at der ikke gik mere end 10 minutter, så stod der en smilende kvinde, som talte perfekt engelsk. Derudover råbte, skreg og græd vores nabo ret meget, og væggene var åbenbart en smule tynde. Det holdte os vågen i mange timer. Derudover var det en rigtig god oplevelse, og jeg vil klart anbefale stedet! Rimelige priser og fin placering.

Helt greit hotell. Noen mangler

Med tanke på at det er et ganske rimelig hotell bare litt utenfor bykjernen, kan man ikke forvente for mye. Det var et koselig rom (leilighet) og et trygt nabolag. På minussiden kan følgende tre punkter trekkes inn: 1. Resepsjonisten var ikke tilgjengelig om morgen eller kveld. 2. Lysbryter til rommet var i gangen (ikke i rommet). 3. Frokosten stod ikke til forventningene, og betjeningen kunne ikke engelsk.
