Take a break from the heat and the bustle of the big city of Rome and experience living and remote working in an authentic Italian village, in your cozy home in Nemi.

Nemi is located in the Alban Hills, a quiescent volcanic complex just outside (approx 20 km southeast) of Rome. The hills, especially around the shores of the lakes, have been popular since prehistoric times, and there are numerous villages and towns, a.k.a. the Castelli Romani.

Boasting wonderful views over the Roman countryside from its perch high above the lake with which it shares its name, beautiful Nemi is one of the Castelli’s must-visit destinations. The tiny historic centre is a character-filled tangle of narrow streets unfolding around imposing Palazzo Ruspoli and the adjacent piazza. Besides the spectacular panoramas, Nemi’s real draw is the local variety of strawberry: smaller than your average fragola, these little gems are bursting with flavour and can be sampled at any of the shops and restaurants populating the borgo. Each year a festal devoted to Nemi’s fragoline marks the highpoint of the season’s harvest.

Not to be missed whilst you’re in the area is Nemi’s historical ships museum, where the remains of the incredible pleasure barges built by emperor Caligula and recovered from depths of the lake are displayed alongside ancient sculptures and artefacts.

Your home is located in “La Pullarella”, the picturesque center of this charming medieval borgo which has seduced poets and painters and still enchants the many tourists visiting today. Nemi’s surroundings invite to do hiking, bicycling, swimming, wining and dining.

Your house has been completely renovated in 2022.

GROUND FLOOR - The ground floor holds the kitchen (fully equipped, including tea and coffee-making facilities), the dining/seating area, and a small bathroom. The sofa in the living area can be converted into a bed for two guests.

FIRST FLOOR - On the first floor are the bedroom, the bathroom with a shower. The bedroom opens up to a small balcony which can be used as an outdoor seating/dining area. The balcony has an awning to provide shading.

The house offers free high-speed internet access (Fiber To The Home, FTTH), ideal for entertainment or remote working. The living area has a flat-screen smart TV with access to common streaming platforms (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney Plus).

Self-check-in is available via a lockbox or an electronic door lock.
