An amazingly great(!) boutique hotel in the centre of Rome, so close to everything. The rooms are modern, well maintained, clean, comfortable and spacious. Soundproofing is good.
One caveat, is we originally had a 5th floor balcony room at the hotel rear, but the constant noise from a zillion heat pumps around the inner area was a bit much. So we we were gladly reaccomodated to room 402 on the front, which turned out to be excellent over our nine nights stay. Room 404 would be similar, but 401/402 are opposite the elevator.
Street noise was minimal during sleeping hours, never an issue. Some temporary roof reconstruction is happening across the corner, which begins between 6am and 7am weekdays.
The staff were superb, and especially Oao and Isabella at breakfast each morning. We opted for the buffet in our room rate, and found it a heavenly way to get going each day.
We walked almost everywhere from our hotel base, in all directions. The Trevi Fountain is literally just around the corner, and the Pantheon only slightly further than that. Many, many other grand museums, churches, and other noteworthy attractions are within a 10min walk, and St. Peter's was about 30 minutes of meandering through wonderful parts of central Roma. The Bourghese Gallery was a similar distance.
Highly recommended base for exploring ancient Roma!
