The location was great - central and almost equidistant to the Vatican and the Colosseum. The piazza where it is located is vibrant and trouristy with restaurants open until 2 am.
What could improve is their service - more attention and care had to be there toward their guests. They should not promise what they could not provide. They promised me two tours on a single day (Vatican & Colosseum), which ultimately were sold out, even when I was ready to pay from the outset. This led me to me having to spend hours finding those tours myself, thus delaying the process. This is a disadvantage when you are pressed on time. The good thing: I ended up getting better deals on my own.
They also promised me a ride back to the airport using a third-party company without detailing anything on how the drivef would me or vice versa. I missed them and this put me in a temporary stres, though again, I ended up getting a better deal myself.
Moral of the story - do not depend on anything from this place other than simply your stay.
You must know that it is a guesthouse and not a full-fledged hotel, meaning there is no 24-7 reception and no provision for breakfast...two big disadvantages on a vacation trip. If you can find a regular hotel closeby, I would recommend that over this place. Their room rates are too high for the service and value, in my opinion.
Other than that, the staff were fine. Enrica was a bit hard to communcate with, Livia was very nice, Flor was friendly and great.
