Loved the house. It was very clean and well kept. Owner was great. My kids loved playing darts and the billiard table. Loved the views of the river and big deck. Only regret was the weather wasn’t a little warmer to enjoy the deck more. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay on the River

Beautiful home and great scenery. We were in town for the Brad Wallin Memorial tournament, so we didn't get to enjoy the home as much as we wanted. If we are ever in the area again we will definately try and rent this place again.

Enjoyed the river views and barge traffic while staying warm and cozy indoors. Perfect size for a family of four. Close to grocery but remote enough to have a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Jason was a good communicator and responsive when needed.

River Respite

The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is very clean, comfortable and has all you would need to feel right at home! You can tell the family who owns it takes pride in caring for others. The river offers a unique mix of soothing water sounds, friendly little wildlife and the occasional traveling barge. Whatever you might need is a short distance away, but you are far enough away in a very quiet neighborhood.

Excellent property

The property was just as advertised. Upon arrival we were very appreciative of the garage, as it was raining that evening, and it was great to be able to unpack the vehicles inside. The view of the river from the deck was great. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, as we were visiting relatives in the area, but that would have been a very nice place to relax and unwind at the end of the day for anyone that would be spending more of their time at the home. This would definitely be my first choice to check out again for a stay in this area.

It was a perfect Thanksgiving get away. We were down for a basketball tournament and the location was great. If we ever come back to Illinois we will stay here!

We so enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and the evening. We even watched the carp jump the first night. Wish they would have jumped again. The home was well kept and just like advertised.

Illinios River

My husband and I rented this beautiful river house to visit with our dear friends from Eurika Il on our road trip from Williamsburg Virginia to Mt Rushmore in South Dakota. It was clean, in a nice neighborhood, and it had a fantastic veiw of the Illinois River! The beds were very comfortable, it was easy to check in, and the host was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. It was very pleasant.

Grandchildren in Rome

Wonderful location with beautiful views of the Illinois river. The barge traffic was fascinating for our grandchildren and us. Nice having a garage to park in and the bumper pool table, ping pong, and darts got a good workout. Lots of great activities a short drive away. We also enjoyed the large great room for dining, playing games, and chilling on the couch with a good movie. Would highly recommend.

For three friends getting together for a golf holiday this was the perfect stay. The layout made it easy to relax as a group in the open family area or to retreat to the quiet of a bedroom. The kitchen had all that we needed. It is a bright, clean, and airy, home and the view from the decks is fabulous. Jason is a terrific host, quickly responsive and helpful. 5 stars all around.

Perfect for Family

For my first time renting a vacation home, words cannot express how amazing this place was. The house was beautiful and provided a very relaxing environment for my family and me. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, beautifully decorated and provided all of the basic amenities that we needed for a family of seven. The house was very spacious compared to being cramped into two hotel rooms for 7 days and enjoyed by all. It provided a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere on the Illinois River. My granddaughters loved watching the barges going up and down the river. Mr. Jason was an awesome host. He was easy to contact when needed and provided excellent customer service. Overall, the stay was very memorable, and we had an absolutely fantastic time staying at the house. We would definitely rent again when returning to Illinois.
