Good service and standard, for the price
A good base for a value hotel.
Some of the decor is quite old but the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a very strong internet connection and air conditioning.
Great location for us travelling down through the spine of the country. Especially with the 24 hour reception as we arrived 2am after a show. Comfy beds, decent size room, bath, hot shower, tea and coffee facilities.
Not great the hotel is very basic, towels are old and off white. Bathroom wasnt cleaned well, and pubic hair was seen in the shower cubical. Had to wash it before use.. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. It states a restaurant I arrived just after 19.00 and was told the restaurant was closed. Would not stay again
Very poor condition. Old and not maintained.
Rooms are very old. Not sure if bedsheets were clean.
As we got into the room, we found 3 beds, 1 double and 2 singles, we were only 2.
The toilet seat was closed but when we opened it, there was pee in there!
Staff not welcoming.
Limited dining options.
Very pleasant experience to stay at Consort Hotel. The room vas spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. Breakfast starts at 8 am but they prepared breakfast for me at 7 am on my request as I had to start my work at 8 am

Very clean but a little rough around the edges. Needs some TLC. Very comfy bed. Easy Road access and lots of parking.
Shower was at best like warm but mainly cold. A bracing experience.
Good value budget hotel. I will definitely use it again though.
Tried to review taking into account the price. It was a good location to break the journey. I arrived very late, reception lady helped me take bags to room as no lift. Very big room. Run down but clean and warm. Big bathroom with bath clean
Thing i didnt like on leaving the cleaners looked like a family man wife and kid opened my door no english, didnt like the way they were not knocking wouldn't have felt safe. I asked the way out, asked if they spoke english and the kid young boy insulted me. I wouldnt have stayed another day with them hanging around.

There was no hot water. Shower was freezing.
Considering it's a dog friendly hotel, my dog couldn't go anywhere but the room.

Regret My Booking
I had booked this place so that we could have a good night's sleep before a competition, but this place was hosting a marriage party that was running well past midnight, which was super disturbing.
Checked in given a room that wasn’t prepared and was in a disgusting state , threadbare carpets given another room with no apologies this had dirty cups from previous guest no toilet rolls or complimentary soaps in bathroom
Optimism for four proper beds in family room turned to disappointment. Marked/dirty bedding on three of four beds and a slight smell in room too. Noisy function until midnight made our room quite uncomfortable to stay in also.
Included English breakfast wasn’t ready in morning so reduced to undercooked bacon sandwiches and toast. Only instant coffee for breakfast too was surprising.
Terrible stay. The only matter that the receptionist wanted to address was to get a £3 parking fee (not made clear when booking). Adjacent rooms had TV on until 2 AM and include a full domestic argument throughout the night. Room condition was very tired and much of the plumbing in the bathroom didn't work. Seriously though about either trying to sleep in my car or simply admitting defeat and driving on at 2 AM. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
Room was dirty x mould on tiles in corner
Dirt on tiles by radiator in bathroom
Bed was thrown together duvet was not flat in in cover and bedding arranged nicely on bed the room needed hoovering
Our dog found items under the bed which could have been extremely dangerous to eat a top off a bottle which I had to get out of her mouth. But what was more worrying was the foil sachet of citaopram tablets I retrieved from under the other bed. Plus once I’d retrieved these also found a medical canular down the side of the bed where the bed was pushed against the wall we took photos of of said items
We stayed 2 nights
There was no housekeeping done do refills of coffee or tea etc etc
Towels were only one large and one small per room when there is two guests
I appreciate it’s a budget hotel but I still expect it to be clean and safe for my dogs. Just because we have dogs with us the rooms should still be of a high standard. The fact that you charge an extortionate amount per night per dog for nothing is day light robbery. My dogs sleep in there own crates and do not make the £80 extra cleaning charge for our visit at £20 per night per dog
The fact that last night there was a very loud party going in was not ideal when people want to sleep
Breakfast was adequate
I’m afraid it was one of the worst places we have ever stayed
The bedroom was dirty. There was a thick layer of dust around the edge of the room as well as an entire corner that hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.
