"I had a terrible experience at the double tree hilton-dearborn hotel. I arrived early on May 28th, 2026 around 12:00 p.m., I did an early check in and got charged a $25 fee which was fine. I got a room and went to see it. As I was walking, the property was dirty, the pool was filthy with so much film, and bacteria in it. As soon as I entered the room, it had towels on the floor, the bed not made , wasn't cleaned or touched after the person who was staying there before me. Mind you I was traveling with my husband and 5 yrs old. We got mad, went down and said the room is dirty, they waived the early checkin fee and assigned us to another room, checked out the second room, and found it filthier than the room before. We had a nonrefundable booking thru expedia, but I contacted expedia, and hotel manager to refund my money, we ended up leaving and booked another hotel. This is supposed to be a four star hotel ?! I can't give it any star rating honestly. Don't waste your time here !"

"This is the second year in a row I stayed here during this time. The rooms are so spacious, esp if you're traveling with friends or family. The bathroom is esp spacious & the lighting in the bathroom 10/10!! I need this lighting at home! Shoutout to Michael at the front desk who helped us with extending our stay & www overall very helpful throughout the week. The bfast is good & the hotel is well situated near target / Walmart / restaurants / shopping & only 15-20 mins to DT Detroit My only note is that I had time with the pillows & my allergies. I thought it was just me but my friend also had the same irritation this year. I put a towel over the hotel pillows & then used my travel pillow but I still woke up super congested and throat irritated. Other than that, we had a great week"

"Have you ever seen the movie Barbarian? It’s kind of like that. The photos of this place are not accurate, this place is an attic of a 3 flat that they put a camp shower & toilet in, this place is perfect if you are 4-5 feet tall, for reference I am 5’4 & I was on my knees in the shower for the water to rinse my hair. There is no silverware, or toiletries of any kind so come overly prepared. there also must be a hive of some kind in one of the unfinished part of the attic rooms because the last day we woke up to the sound of the biggest bee’s I’ve ever seen trying to get out the windows which is when we discovered a bullet hole in the front window that really adds character to the room. We were there to work back to back 12 hour days outside at a music fest and so this place was just a spot to sleep at, and given the photos we thought it may be comfy and far away enough to be less noisy, however we had an issue with a guest downstairs having a full blown front yard party with his car doors open blasting music to which we let the host know and he apologized but that’s it, so we remained awake from 3-7am and were told the owner refuses to give refunds, he said we have no proof because I wouldn’t go outside to record them having a party, but there are cameras out there he could have very well watched but are only viewed ‘in an emergency’ a singular day refund for my lack of sleep into a 12 hour work day would have made up for everything else. But alas, money human compassion."

"This was worse than a pay by the hour hotel. The house reeked of cigarettes and had cigarette burns all over the sofa. There was debris and a large clump of hair on the living room rug, it was apparent it had not been vacuumed. The host then claimed to have sent the cleaning team back yet it was still unsanitary and smelt of smoke. My employee traveling with me was allergic and we had to relocate at one in the morning. I offered to pay 1 night and be refunded as we were not able to stay in the deplorabe accommodations but the host was unwilling to refund our money. I recievied a notice prior to checkin that there was an issue with a previous guest and the front door was not yet able to be repaired but you could tell by the age of the tape on the door it was not a recent issue. I imagine every renter is told the same lie. There was nothing smart about this home other than the TV, it didnt even have a working ice maker and the few dishes it had were junk. "
