Fantastic stay at the Fisbourne Inn, great friendly staff, large room with view out to the sea. Tasty food, large portion size, great service. Less than 5 minute walk from the ferry from Portsmouth.

The Inn is in a quiet location and is reasonably well appointed. We were inpressed by the staff who are friendly and efficient. We were not impressed by the uncontrollable heating in the room which resulted in sauna-like heat all day and all night.

Lovely and enjoyable

Very welcoming, enjoyed our stay, great service and staff, loved the breakfast. Very accomdating with our dietary needs. Room was a decent size with a lovely comfortable large bed, the room had everything you needed to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Felt very relax during my stay with sea views and a lovely decor pub below which servered great food.

Terrific getaway inn near ferry terminal

A lovely, very well maintained inn with a restaurant and pub, within walking distance of the ferry terminal. First rate menu with daily specials including fresh seafood. Pub has local ales on hand-pull. Spotless clean rooms with daily maid service. Friendly and competent staff. Note that this establishment is located in a residential neighborhood, so no other stores nearby.

November 2024 stay

Had a 3 day stay out of season in November. Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to both Ryde and Newport, Hotel is on a quiet road next to the Fishbourne ferry station. Room had reserved parking. Bar and Restaurant were welcoming and clean, had a nice evening meal one night and excellent breakfast in the morning. Overall very good value.

The positive was the service received from Tracy who checked us in and was on breakfast service the following morning, she was fantastic. The room and bathroom were filthy, particularly the bathroom. The lack of cleanliness seemed to have been accumulating over time, not just on prior guests check out.

A great shower, hot water and nice and clean, a hanging facility for the towels in the bathroom would be useful. The room was good for the price. Needs a little dusting behind the bedside table, otherwise clean, only noticed because I was going to use the plug. Lovely to have a radio and tv in the room. Otherwise the room was cute, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed a good lunch, the dish of the day, salmon, purée and roasted broccoli, very tasty. The service was good, helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Very thoughtful to have given me a take out breakfast as I was leaving early. Only 1 minute from the ferry. Perfect! Hope to use the Fishbourne again.
