This delightful seaside family holiday home, situated behind the forested dunes offers a great location for a relaxing holiday to get away from pace of everyday life. Only 3 minutes walk from the beach, local shops, restaurant, tennis courts and boules pitch. A short drive or cycle ride will take you to the village centre. In the summer, sailing boats and windsurfers can be hired from the sailing school on the beach.

The spacious house is comfortable for a couple or for up to 10 people. It is furnished to a high standard and well equipped. It has 4 bedrooms, including one upstairs via a spiral staircase that can sleep up to 4 children or two adults, a shower room basin, bathroom with bath, and 2 separate toilets. The well-equipped kitchen opens into the large 'L'-shaped lounge/dining room with vine-covered terrace outside for those lazy lunchtimes and evening meals. The house has central heating. There is a mature and private garden.

Malgré une bonne communication, nous avons trouvé la maison inadaptée pour 10 personnes ( couverts en nombre insuffisant, tables à manger, réfrigérateur trop petit..)L'entretien et la propreté sont très sommaires et les installations vétustes ( rangements, gaz,...)Le wifi est de très faible débit et limité ( dommage lorsqu'il n'y a pas de télé et que les portables ne captent pas)C'est fort dommage...

Jolie maison plus campagne que mer , bric à brac d'objets partout mais qui dénote la générosité des hôtes. Des jouets et jeux de société pour les enfants c'est top. Seul bémol la cuisine vieillotte et grasse, surtout les casseroles et poêles il a fallu tout laver.Et s'il était possible de payer en euros cela éviterait les 300 de frais de banque !!!!!Nous espérons quand même pouvoir y revenir l'année prochaine

Belle maison bien située

Maison très pratique et agréable, également très bien située. Tout l’équipement y est, pour l’intérieur comme pour le jardin. A part un petit souci pour joindre le propriétaire/le service de conciergerie à l’arrivée, tout s’est très bien passé et nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Attention les draps ne sont pas fournis, nous avons eu du mal à trouver cette information.

Belle maison à mieux entretenir

Une très agréable maison de vacances bien décorée, confortable, très proche de la plage. Quelques désagréments toutefois: des ampoules grillées signalées par l'hôtesse d'accueil mais non remplacées, la vaisselle à renettoyer, les protections d'oreiller douteuses, quelques sièges bancales.

Déçue par les prestations, mais reste une belle maison.

Belle maison très bien située, mais pas de ménage de fait à l'arrivée, poussière et toiles d'araignée , frigo sale, problème électrique dans plusieurs pièces. La maison aurait pu être ouverte et nettoyer à notre arrivée. Très déçue pour le prix....

Semaine agréable en bord de mer à 2 familles

Maison bien située tout près d'une grande plage; les chambres sont bien réparties, agréable pour deux familles. Petit jardin bien apprécié par les enfants. Jolie région par ailleurs, avec des activités variées. Merci à Anthony pour sa gentillesse.

Relaxing Holiday

we arrived to find the house clean and well presented, and was well situated close to a good sandy beach. A small shop nearby was useful for the fresh baguettes we bought on a daily basis. getting the car in/out of the drive was challenging. The property felt homely and comfortable with all the essentials you would expect of someone's home. It was lovely to be able to sit outside for most of our meals as the garden was private and not overlooked. The property is in a quiet location about a 20 minutes walk from the village centre. There is no Wi-Fi which my children missed but a local bar with Wi-Fi was the solution.

lovely house

The house is really comfortable ; you find yourself "at home" ! everything you need is available : for cooking, dishes, bbq ... for cleaning wash-machines ; games ; even some essential food like oil, vinegar, etc. The table outside is great. So your holidays start immediatly when you arrive there !

landestypisches Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Ferienhaus liegt in unmitelbarer Strandnaehe in ruhiger Umgebung. Kleiner Garten mit altem Baumbestand, gut abgeschirmt von Strasse und Nachbarn. Kueche verfuegt ueber die noetige Ausstattung fuer Ferienkueche. Ausreichend Platz fuer bis zu 8 Personen. Kontakt mit dem Inhaber erfolge ueber Internet - Abwicklung war sehr zuvorkommend, schnell und problemlos. Ein Kritikpunkt war der schlecht schliessende Kuehlschrank, der aber laut Vermieter demnaechst ersetzt warden soll. Die Grundreinigung des Hauses koennte allerdings sorgfaeltiger ausgefuehrt warden. Die gute Lage des Hauses ist auf jeden Fall ein Pluspunkt.

Nice location and place for a quite stay

The pictures don't do justice to the size of the place. Had a really good stay, though sometimes not easy accessing the driveway due to other traffic and the size of our vehicle. For me only one thing missing as I run several business - internet access would have been a great benefit. Well equipped and plenty of space internally for the 5 in our party. The owners were very good with communications and it suited what I needed - location etc as I didn't want the hustle and bustle of a main town / resort and so it was perfect in that respect.

Comfortable family house in a fine position

Brilliant position for beach lovers just 5 mins stroll from a long sandy beach with fascinating rock pools at low tide. A cycle track is also close to the house. Small shops nearby and more in the St Vincent and Jard-sur-mer which has a fine Monday market which set us up with goodies for the week, a huge supermarket and a pleasant port with lots of restaurants. Fish is excellent everywhere. Easy driving to many interesting places from La Rochelle and the Ile de Re to Noirmutier, the Marais Poitevin, some excellent vineyards - and a fine local castle at Talmont. If you like dolmen & menhirs well they are all around, and there seemed to be an extraordinary number of water parks for children in the area. The house is comfortable, quiet, well equipped and has loads of space. Two wash/shower rooms with two separate toilets makes group living very easy. There's a good oven and fridge and a large dining table for group eating, with another under the vines outside. The lawn out the front is good for kids. It's very much a family house, homely rather than smart, and that suited us fine.

Lovely House

This was our second visit to this property We had 9 in our party 4 adults and 5 children .The description is very accurate.The communication with the owner was great. we had plenty of room with lots to keep us busy all I can say is that it is a great house in a wonderful location and would highly recommend it to others.

Relaxing and Comfortable

House very spacious and comfortable with every possible necessity provided for. Short walk to lovely sandy beach and to shop for morning croissants / evening dining. Very quiet location (in mid-June) and relaxing. Suitable for large families and young children. Car an essential to enjoy all local sights.

Lovely house near beach

Description was accurate and house was as we expected. There were 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 teenagers, and we all had plenty of space. Pleasant secluded garden. Excellent communications from the owner. An excellent location - beach a bit tide dependent, as rocky at low tide but you can sail and windsurf from it. Very good surfing beaches a short drive away. Small shop nearby and a couple of basic restaurants, and other facilities not far away by bike or car. I would recommend this to a friend.

Well positioned, roomy and relaxed.

This is a roomy property in a lovely part of the Vendee - and only a short walk to the beach as described. It has the feel of being a "holiday home" rather than simply a commercial letting proposition and is filled with "homely" touches. The garden is well maintained, quiet, private and perfect for alfresco dining. Good restaurants are nearby, but a car is essential to get the most from the area.

Wonderful house and location

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in June 2009 in St Vincent. The house and facilities are just as described but the photographs do not do the garden and setting justice. We all loved eating every meal in the garden and generally spending all of our time outside. The house is a 2 minute walk from a beautiful, quiet (at least when we were there) beach. There is a shop also a very short walk away which sells bread and other basic food and a pizzaria. There are plenty of activities in the surrounding area when not on the beach!
