"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty of loungers. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"Lovely location with wonderful views out to Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite. We struggled a bit with heating and hot water on arrival (some of the folder instructions seemed contradictory) but once we got it going it was fine - quirks of an old cottage in a rural location. Very well located for exploring the area and easy drive into Keswick. Due to an issue with the interplay between the Vrbo app and the host company we couldn’t message via the app and didn’t get access info on email but having contracted the host company directly we then got what we needed quickly and I’m told app issue will be sorted. "

"We had a wonderful time in the lodge and were blessed with the weather for April. The lodge has fabulous views of the lake and was spotlessly clean. A real home from home with everything a family needs and the beds are so comfortable. Excellent communication with the owner. I will most definitely return, highly recommended. "

"Beautiful spot well situated for Keswick and Cockermouth. Near a busy road which makes access convenient but still feels quiet. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Felt like a lovely cosy retreat to come back to after a day out walking in the wind and rain. Breakfast was well organised, very tasty and there was a good amount of choice on offer. Service was very quick but never felt hurried or rushed. Peter and Katie were great hosts and had lots of tips and recommendations. Got in contact with us quickly when we left an item behind after checking out. "
