"Ok, normally I never write reviews, but this place was amazing. Where do I began, Jessica, Isaac, and Caleb were all amazing, as was the young wait staff kid who brought me lemon daiquiris to my room whose name I can’t remember… lo siento! I had to check out of another place at 10:00, and they let me check in early, and because it’s a low season I got a room upgrade with the private pool facing directly down zipolite beach… amazing. Casa sol’s side is currently unoccupied, but I could still use their amenities (like their clothing option pool right over the waves of the little playa back there). They have a great complimentary breakfast every morning, they have a one hour beer and wine happy hour that is complimentary. The grounds are very well kept, it’s a gorgeous place, a nice walk down the hill and you are in town. The staff was quick with lunch orders, helped getting a massage scheduled in my room, scheduling me a taxi back to Escondido. For the cost that I paid, and the room that I got, along with the amazing service I received, I would definitely place it at the best value for a stay that I’ve ever gotten. Thank you all for the wonderful stay!"

"We had a great stay overall! Highlights included the exceptional staff, gorgeous sea views right off the beach, and the beautifully maintained grounds. A couple of small drawbacks: the pool water was consistently lukewarm and didn't offer a refreshing cool-down on hot days. The restaurant also disappointed us in terms of service and food quality for a four-star property and its high prices, though town has amazing local spots to eat instead. Despite these minor points, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when back in Mazunte."

"This review is for a three-night stay a few months ago. I had a wonderful time at this small hotel, and I found the owner and staff exceptional. I had great conversations about Mexico and the local area with Jordi, one of the owners, who was full of information and suggestions on getting around, places to dine, and things to see. The room itself was sparkling clean, and as one of the few places in the area that had air conditioning, it was a great hotel to stay in during the beginning of their hottest season. The hotel serves breakfast and lunch, and every meal I had there was delicious. The view of the ocean from the hotel is spectacular. A few things to note: First, hotel.com has this hotel as being located in Santa Maria Tonameca, but if you tell a taxi to take you to Santa Maria Tonameca (as I did, because I did not know the area), you are still about 30+ minutes away. The hotel is actually situated at the top of a hill between the beach towns of San Agustinillo and Zipolete, down an unpaved road on the ocean side. Second, the hotel does not serve dinner, so you will have to walk or catch a ride to one of the nearby beach towns to dine. The hill is steep, so you need to be in pretty good shape to walk back up after dinner; the walk takes about 20 minutes. There is no light on the road, so be prepared for that, as well. There are plenty of taxis and collectivos around, however, so this is a good alternative option for getting back to your room."

"La dueña del hotel es un encanto y siempre está atenta a las necesidades de los huéspedes. El lugar es lindo, ubicado en una colina que funciona bien para hacer ejercicio caminando de ida y vuelta a Mazunte. El baño está bien, aunque se filtraba agua del lavabo y era imposible no encharcar al bañarse. La chica de limpieza muy buena y acomedida. Los cuartos no cuentan con frigobar, por lo que dependes de un “mini bar” comunitario. No proveen de botellas de agua, tienes que comprarlas. "
