Beautiful location and amazing view! Beds were comfy and everything was very clean.Could use an upgrade on the towels, but plenty were provided. Everyone who runs or owns the place are very nice and helpful. Also there is an elevator to the Mermaids Penthouse which was great!

Completely remodeled and absolutely beautiful condo! The location is amazing, right on the boardwalk, just steps from the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect vacation rental on the boardwalk

We finally decided to book a rental on mission beach with an ocean front! This place didn’t disappoint! Maurice was awesome to work with as well! Newly remodeled and just a hop over the boardwalk and you’re on the beach! Already booked again for next year and hopefully more years to come! Highly recommend! Clean, and comfortable!

Location, location, location!

Amazing property, central to everything — groceries just a few blocks away, coffee shops, ice cream and great restaurants all truly walkable! Everything was clean, fresh and welcoming. Just lovely. Minor problem connecting for keycode to enter, but we were met there by the property manager who was kind and helpful!

Absolutely spectacular vacation property

We absolutely love this unit. It’s location is perfection because we like to be close to good restaurants and bars so that we can just walk there. We also love that it overlooks the ocean and has lots of windows. It is truly great because It has two bedrooms and two baths so we stay there very comfortably. I also love the fact that it has a parking space that is easily accessible and always available. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The host is also very helpful and was wonderful. We have been staying here for many years now every year, and we will continue to book it because we love it.

Great location, needs updates

This property was an amazing location. Right on the beach and with amazing views. The upkeep was not great: moldy shower curtains, rusted shower curtain rods and broken hooks, kitchen cabinets hanging crooked, dirty light fixtures, front door lock only worked from the inside, and the common areas were filthy and covered in sand. I don't regret our stay, it was a good value, but we won't be back.

Love the mermaid!

We stay at the mermaid every time we visit Mission Beach. It is so comfortable and convenient. The views are unbeatable! and having your own parking AND an elevator? so awesome! Highly recommend :)

Awesome Spot!

Loved this place along the boardwalk and just off of the beach! I really thought this condo was in the ideal spot and will be looking to stay here again in the future. Also the parking spot is clutch! Parking in the area is insane and we would have had a tough time finding a public spot for our rental car.

Great location

The location is fantastic. Walk out the door onto PB! Convenient to restaurants, attractions, etc. perfect for dogs! Beds are fair. Parking is nice unless you have multiple cars. Condo didn’t have Kleenex, hand soap, cooking utensils not good, only 3 coffee cups for a condo sleeping 6. All in all it was a good time for us. We adapted.

Gorgeous view and location

This property is located in a perfect area of Mission Beach because it’s close to all the fun restaurants and bars. The view is spectacular from the living room. We like the size because it’s two bedrooms and two baths. It has a nice kitchen and it is very clean. It has a nice sitting area where you can watch people go by. We would highly recommend this place.

Surprised by condition

Mattress in master with urine and some other stains, for the price charged that is unacceptable. Comforter on that bed filthy with unknown stains on underneath side. Looked like melted chocolate? On one side and see through light green stuff on the other side. Manager did try to rectify the situation by delivering 2 blankets at 11 pm

Great location

The location is wonderful. I enjoyed being right on the beach. I was able to swim with the dolphins in the ocean right in front of the beach. The view was amazing. Check in was simple. A few things that could have made my experience better are to have a can opener. There were dirty dishes located hidden in drawers and cabinets. It made me wonder how clean the place actually was. Extra linens and possibly having a throw blanket or comforter would have been nice. One of the boogie boards provided were broken already. Overall, this was a nice place with a few minor tweaks.

Great location!!

This property was close to resturants and the beach access was just a walk away. The views from the front room were beautiful! The property manager responded quickly to our questions & was helpful. We had everything we needed & would definitely book again!

Wonderful vacation!

Breathtaking views of the dolphins in the ocean every morning! Gina, the property manager was very helpful and approachable. Apartment was clean and had everything I needed for a beach family vacation. Would definitely stay here again.

Good place for adults but not for family with children

The place was not the same as pictured. Maybe because we were given the third floor. The place needs a lot of work. The bar stools were rusty, toilets were chipped and shower curtain had molds. I was given a new shower curtain lining replacement during my stay when I sent an email. My toddlers likes to take baths , so molds was a big concern. But even changing the shower curtain and the lining was hard because the rings were all rusty and difficult to remove. I was being very careful that the rings would not cut me. Our parking spot was next to all the trashcans , it smelled really bad and there were a lot of flies. Not so great when you are trying to put an infant in the car. We had to rush to avoid the flies from gling in the car. One night, I had to let the next door guests to keep the noise level down since they were talking in front of our door. They look like they were a bunch of drunk teenagers. I would not recommend this place for a family with small kids due to safety & health standards. I suggest to change the kitchen faucet , the shower head in the bedroom shower, toilet in the hallway bathroom, the shower curtain rings and curtains. The bar stools are not safe being so rusty. We did appreciate watching the sunset and listening to sound of the waves. Thank you!

Feeling Underwhelmed

This property leaves a lot to be desired. It’s right on Mission Beach which is awesome during the day but really noisy at night (to be expected being right on the boardwalk). It is not newly renovated though I will say the broken microwave mentioned in a previous review was replaced. Everything is rather rusty (the shower rod, the door lock, everything metal basically). The sheets looked clean but there was no mattress cover and the mattress itself was stained and disgusting. Don’t get me started on the space where the mattress meets the frame of the bed (full of crumbs, tons of hair and what looked to be dry boogers). None of the bathroom or overhead fans work. There are portable fans in the closet which were helpful. The windows aren’t clean or have broken seals so it’s hard to see the beautiful view. Like a lot of VRBO properties, they ask you to start laundry when you leave but there’s no laundry soap to use. We bought some at the store but does that mean our sheets/towels when we got there were washed without soap? The list goes on. Sent the owner a message the day before our arrival asking about the coffee maker and if we could potentially get an early check in. This message was not replied to and we received check in instructions 15 minutes before actual check in. It was stressful because previous reviews stated they struggled to get check in info. Overall, I feel like they are doing just above the bare minimum to keep this condo rentable. It is not luxurious, it’s not a penthouse where you can find solitude (it’s the third floor of a walk up building on the boardwalk), and I certainly would not stay here again.

Paying for the view

Place run down and not clean. You are paying for the view which is amazing. Most of fans in place broke. And living room ceiling fan broke. Bathroom shower curtains 100% need to be replaced. Check in was super easy and had no problem with getting in. Would be nice to have a place to rinse off before entering the building.. the little bucket /hose water at front door really doesn’t do the trick…. Lots of kids beach toys which was a plus! I do recommend have a little bike pump of some sort to pump up balls.. all were flat
