Amazing place, amazing location!

Completely remodeled and absolutely beautiful condo! The location is amazing, right on the boardwalk, just steps from the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was close to resturants and the beach access was just a walk away. The views from the front room were beautiful! The property manager responded quickly to our questions & was helpful. We had everything we needed & would definitely book again!

Excellent location and On Mission Beach

For our first family vacation this was an amazing place. The views are the best. We only had trouble when we arrived as the street was closed and we could not get to the parking spot. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location. Nice place to stay with the family.

Beautiful views. Very responsive owner. Conveniently located near bike rentals, parks, grocery store. Exactly what we wanted. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Awesome stay

We had a great time at the beach. The condo had an awesome view of the ocean. Sunsets and moon sets were beautiful. I love the sound of the waves at night. Can’t wait to stay again.

Our favorite time of the day is Sunset time! This lovely little unit did not disappoint. Love the sounds of the waves crashing! The best location to see all Mission Beach and Pacific Beach! Amazing restaurants minutes away!!! We will be back!

Awesome Condo and Location

The condo was amazing. Gina was extremely helpful. There is even an elevator to get to the third floor. You can hear the waves crash all night as you sleep. Great way to unwind! The front deck was a great place to stare at the ocean and watch everyone go by. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful place

The homeowner knows the concerns regarding the property. I hope she takes action to resolve them. Parking is very tight. Small compact to small suv recommend. Will I stay again if she has fixed the main concerns.

Perfect location, right on the water

You definitely pay for the location. The house is a little outdated and dirty but it is a beach property. We never got checkin instructions prior but the manager did send them to us in a timely manner, once we were there. Everything in the kitchen, that’d there for you to use, is pretty old and dirty. Overall, we went for the beach and being able walk right across the sidewalk into the sand was amazing.

Updates to Property

Location was excellent! Great views, walking distances to shops, restaurants and the beach! There were several things in the condo that with a trip to the local hardware store and a handy man that needed to be updated or replaced. (Ceiling Fan blades, shower bar, bathroom light fixtures, shades in the main living area etc.) Just some everyday updates that would of made the property more attractive.

Location, location, location!

Beautiful views of the ocean and beach right in front of the condo. Love that the windows open up! Overall a great stay. With COVID-19, we ate in more than usual. The kitchen amenities are a bit light if you really like to cook. We did fine and made it work. One of the bathrooms needed a plumber so we were without for one/day and night. A bit faster service would have been nice. Overall, a great stay and we would stay at the condo again.

Stunning view, great location, rapid response

Our stay was fantastic. The house is in a great location with many hot spots in walking distance. The arrangement of living room and kitchen made for easy conversation between the two rooms. Plenty of seating at the bar, coffee table and couch. Back door opens up onto the board walk. We had some problems with the shared bbq grill on the patio. The grill didn’t cook our large tri tip all the way through so we had to finish it in the oven (it could have been the wind factor) Other meats like sausage and burgers cooked fine. Thank you to Gina! She was amazing!

Great location but in need of upgrades / honesty

You cannot beat the location of this property and the views of sunset are to die for!! But the rooms were not the cleanest. For example I don’t think the toaster had been used or cleaned in years. The heat in the back bedroom did not work and everything including the coach was in very poor shape. Many things listed as being in the unit were not like beach chairs and a blow dryer. I think we could have done better for the price.

Horrible experience, not clean and worst property manager

Arrived to poop in the toilet, sand on the furniture and dead bugs in the bathtub. Hung out on the patio and received horrible interaction with the property manager. Racial comments were used against a friend and was inappropriate towards my company. Even the wife of the property manager said it was un called for. Not worth the money, time, or experience ever. Worst place to ever stay! Have traveled around the world and never experienced anything like that.

Beach Escape

The overall property is clean and safe. Perfect location. Amazing views. Being able to spot dolphins all day long was amazing. The rooms are adequate. Beds fine. Master bathroom needs updating. The shower did not work at all so had to use the guest room shower. With 6 people was challenging. Was not able to get someone to come look at it or fix it. Based on how the water was shut off to the shower it must have been a problem that had been reoccurring or was there before I checked in and no one fixed it. That was a major inconvenience. Some of the beach toys/ umbrella left behind were not in good condition so BYO. Not enough cleaning supplies so the place got sandy easily and hard to clean after yourself as the broom in closet was broken. Other than those 2 important details all else was great.

Great view and location, but the space is lacking

The views of the ocean are almost enough to make you overlook the state of the apartment, almost! I’m giving this place 3 stars because of the location and the building manager, Jay, who was very helpful to us throughout the stay. The pictures in this listing must be what the apartment looked like years ago - most of the furniture is rusting along with the appliances. The water was turned off multiple times with little to no notice and we spent a majority of our trip with no hot water. The leather couch was worn to nothing to the point that we needed to buy blankets in order to sit. There is no bench as pictured by the window and the bed linens had holes/stains. We had to do a deep clean upon arriving which was troubling during COVID. I would not recommend staying at this property, there are plenty of other spots along the water, even the apartments in the same building were much much nicer.

Great stay and will return! Only some small details away from excellent.

Overall the stay was awesome and I will definitely return! The views of the beach and boardwalk are awesome. Being on the 3rd floor blocks out most of the man made sound, but still allows the sound of the ocean to be heard clearly. The location is perfect, right on the boardwalk and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, piers, etc. Gina was great to deal with and she responded to emails and texts promptly. She also helped us get an early check-in which was great for our flight times. As others have mentioned the inside just needs a little work and more amenities to make it excellent. I would expect beach towels and chairs to be there without having to call and rent them daily as the guest book said to do. There were two rusty beach chairs in the room, but no beach towels. There was a broom, but no dust pan. We also did a lot of cooking and found there to be a lack of kitchen utensils and coffee cups. Overall these were minor things that I’m sure Gina would have helped with if we had asked, but they were too small to bother with. Lastly, I read a lot of reviews about the parking spot being too small. The midsize SUV we rented fit easily, but a full-size SUV or truck would be difficult.

Good place for adults but not for family with children

The place was not the same as pictured. Maybe because we were given the third floor. The place needs a lot of work. The bar stools were rusty, toilets were chipped and shower curtain had molds. I was given a new shower curtain lining replacement during my stay when I sent an email. My toddlers likes to take baths , so molds was a big concern. But even changing the shower curtain and the lining was hard because the rings were all rusty and difficult to remove. I was being very careful that the rings would not cut me. Our parking spot was next to all the trashcans , it smelled really bad and there were a lot of flies. Not so great when you are trying to put an infant in the car. We had to rush to avoid the flies from gling in the car. One night, I had to let the next door guests to keep the noise level down since they were talking in front of our door. They look like they were a bunch of drunk teenagers. I would not recommend this place for a family with small kids due to safety & health standards. I suggest to change the kitchen faucet , the shower head in the bedroom shower, toilet in the hallway bathroom, the shower curtain rings and curtains. The bar stools are not safe being so rusty. We did appreciate watching the sunset and listening to sound of the waves. Thank you!

The view is why I selected this property, you could see the dolphins swimming daily. Beautiful!

The condo needs some work, a little TLC and it would be fabulous. If you plan on cooking most meals in the condo, you’ll need to bring some of your own things, like cookie sheets, baking pans and frying pans. The kitchen is very limited on cookware. Also, there’s no where to rinse off the sand before you come up to the condo and there wasn’t a vacuum so I was sweeping constantly and lining the floor with towels to cut down on the amount of sand everywhere. Make sure to bring your own spices, laundry detergent, and extra towels, the dryer takes about 2 hours to dry one load. The bedrooms were a good size as well as the bathrooms. It was cleaned well and did have floor fans and some beach towels. My only complaint is the week we rented the two bottom floor units were rented out to some loud party goers and they were extremely rude by yelling and playing loud music on the boardwalk until after midnight 4 of the 6 nights we were there. We had to close our windows to block the noise, which totally cut off the sound of the ocean and breeze, which is why we stayed there in the first place. I know Gina had no control over who rents the other units but they made our stay stressful by harassing people walking on the boardwalk, yelling at people going by at all hours of the night and blaring music. The other tenants were all families and annoyed by the first floor shenanigans as well. All in all, I would rent again if I could be assured that the other renters in the building would shut down the craziness by 10:00 pm. I loved the view but the location so close to the restaurants and bars seemed like a good idea but maybe not with a family because it was a lot more rowdy than I was thinking. We stayed 2 blocks south last year of this location and it was a lot more quiet. Probably heading to Coronado next year.

Perfect vacation rental on the boardwalk

We finally decided to book a rental on mission beach with an ocean front! This place didn’t disappoint! Maurice was awesome to work with as well! Newly remodeled and just a hop over the boardwalk and you’re on the beach! Already booked again for next year and hopefully more years to come! Highly recommend! Clean, and comfortable!

Location, location, location!

Amazing property, central to everything — groceries just a few blocks away, coffee shops, ice cream and great restaurants all truly walkable! Everything was clean, fresh and welcoming. Just lovely. Minor problem connecting for keycode to enter, but we were met there by the property manager who was kind and helpful!

Absolutely spectacular vacation property

We absolutely love this unit. It’s location is perfection because we like to be close to good restaurants and bars so that we can just walk there. We also love that it overlooks the ocean and has lots of windows. It is truly great because It has two bedrooms and two baths so we stay there very comfortably. I also love the fact that it has a parking space that is easily accessible and always available. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The host is also very helpful and was wonderful. We have been staying here for many years now every year, and we will continue to book it because we love it.
