Had an amazing time here - the location is ideal for the old town and restaurants. Ibon was extremely helpful and friendly, and went out of his way to provide any information or assistance we needed. The water dispenser (hot and cold) was a great help also!

Communication leading up to our arrival was easy. Once we arrived we found super clean rooms, hot strong shower and the perfect location. Staff was lovely and helped us with last minute changes as we lets our rooms an extra day.

Amazing location!

Incredible location near all the action but on a quieter street. Interior room, but had a small window and was very quiet. Best shower we’ve had in Spain yet! Host was very welcoming in the morning. Highly recommend!

Ibon was a terrific host. He secured our luggage when we arrived early, provided great recommendations for meals and was very helpful during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping.

This spot was so great, a block from the harbor, off the main busy spots, amazing owner who works the desk and gives the BEST tips on where to eat and drink, the nearby park, the beaches, and how to get to the airport (hot tip, it’s the bus, and it’s awesome at 2 euro 90). The room was quiet, sound proofed, extremely clean, and very comfortable sleeping. I would recommend this place to friends, family, and clients.

Wonderful! Spot on recommendations for restaurants, sites, etc. Great location at the edge of Parte Viejo, close to La Concha Beach but on a quiet street without bars and restaurants.

Location, location!!!

Great experience in this pension! In the heart of downtown, around the beach and the port. Very safe and quiet area. Shopping and dinning options!! Bed and pillows were very comfortable!! Staff very kind and helpful! I would stay here again!!

We had an amazing stay - zero complaints! The location is perfect, right in old town yet the room was super quiet. The roller shutters made the room absolutely pitch black and quiet. The room and bathroom were clean. Areas to hang clothes and store things - for such a small space it never felt it. Great to have a little balcony for fresh air and to hang wet bathers etc. Staff were super friendly and helpful, while also giving us our space. Highly recommend, we'll be staying again next time!

Good value

The location could not be better, in the old part of town, quiet but close to the beaches, port and aquarium. Clean and well appointed for a pensión, free tea and coffee. Arrival is a bit weird, but if you take note of all the instructions you will receive prior to arrival you will have no trouble. Manager/owner very helpful but he is only there for part of the day.

I'll start with the good. Pension Iturrizza is in a superb location in San Sebastian's Old Town. It's on a quiet side street near a church, very close to excellent dining (which is everywhere) and steps from the dock, beach and aquarium. It's hard to imagine finding something so convenient for what is a very good price. If all you want is a place to drop your bags and have a place to sleep, go for it. You probably won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't give more than three stars for two reason. Most importantly, there was a terrible odor in the bathroom that didn't go away. We only saw a staff member once during our entire stay, and while he was very friendly, we were on our way out and didn't bring it up. Secondly, our room was unbelievably small. It's almost hard to walk around the bed. There's a tiny closet, but mostly we had to step over our belongings on the way to the bathroom. Other reviews mentioned the small size, but we weren't prepared for just how small it was. The reviews and listing also make it seem like there is a patio and/or outside space, which we never found. There was a small window in the room, but it looked out over an interior space which was really just a column of dank air looking at other interior windows. If you've gotten this far, I'll say we probably wouldn't stay here again, but if you don't care about space or a view, you'll probably be OK with it. I assume they'll take care of the smell in the bathroom.

Great location, nice helpful, operator. For the cost, location, comfort, it was reasonable. Given the parameters, I'd stay here again. In the shared common room/lobby, there is near boiling and cold filtered water, coffees, teas, etc. I slept well. There is elevator service. If the other guests are respectful and minimize noise, it is a pleasant place to stay.
