Very clean rooms staff was nice and helpful parking was easy kitchen was simple but had everything you need I would stay again my room was premium suit it’s like small apartment almost big enough for me and my spouse and their service dog to have room to move around bathrooms very clean beds very comfy and clean

Upon arrival, we found the property very neat and tidy. Whoever takes care of the flowers, does an excellent job. (Loved the flowers!) We had no trouble with the door lock or communication with the hotel. They were helpful and responsive. The rooms look modern and appear clean enough.. until you realize that the floor leaves new socks, black. The dirty floor didn’t bother me as much as the non-working coffee machine. This place is almost great but just needs a steam mop to the floor and a new Keurig!

My husband and I came for our anniversary weekend. We got married at Cedar Point, but wanted to find some other places and things to do in the area. Anchor was a cute little place. When we first pulled in, the first thing I noticed were the beautiful (and real) flowers outside of each room. The property appears very nicely kept. When we got into our room, it was so cute and very clean. That bed was so comfortable, I wanted to take it home. 😅 Check in and out was so incredibly easy. We saw the housekeepers when we left and they seemed so kind. Smiles on their faces. I would definitely come back! A nice fire pit in the middle would make it a little better 😃

This room was perfect for our 3 day weekend getaway in the Sandusky area. We had a Premium Room, with King bed, queen sofa bed, separate bedroom/living room areas, a kitchenette, and 2 bathrooms. I love what the owners have done with this former mid-century roadside motel. The room layouts are well-done, the furnishings and finishes are nice, and the decor is well-done. From here, it was just minutes to downtown Sandusky, and about a 20-minute drive to Marblehead or Catawba Island. At Marblehead we enjoyed exploring the Lighthouse and park, and we caught the ferry to Kelley's Island there also. At Catawba, we caught the ferry to Put-in Bay. If you are going to Kelley's Island and want to explore, reserve a golf cart a day or two ahead. There are a ton of places to rent them, but the location at the ferry dock would be most convenient, although the walk into "town" isn't very long. Do your homework ahead to decide what to see and where to go. You can easily spend a full day on the island, and the last ferry doesn't depart until around 10pm (depends on season, so check ahead), so you have time to enjoy the sunset before heading back to the mainland. On Put-in Bay, we recommend the opposite...don't worry about the golf cart. Get off the ferry, catch the bus to the downtown bus terminal, and jump on the trolley. You only get one lap around the island, but you can get off and back on a later trolley at any stop. The last ferry was too early for sunset on the island.

So stayed here!

It was a good location. I was a little worried at first being a solo traveler as there weren’t many guests there, but it filled up after a while. The room was clean and there were extra towels in the cabinet.
